LightwaveRF connect Dimmable Energy Saving CFR with Mood Remote Operation Manual Model No’s: JSJS LW560/561/562 It is important to install this product in accordance with the fitting instructions below. Failure to do so may render your guarantee void. IMPORTANT: PLEASE RETAIN THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE AND FOR GUIDANCE ON THE ASSOCIATION OF REMOTE HANDSETS. FOR HELP AND SETUP GUIDANCE PLEASE VISIT www.lightwaverf.com OVERVIEW: Mood 3 Mood 2 Mood 1 All Off On Off Channel Selector The LightwaveRF Connect CFR (Compact Fluorescent Radio lamp) is a remotely operable, dimmable, low energy light bulb. It is designed to be a direct replacement for CFL light bulbs and incandescent bulbs using standard fittings. NOTE: The CFR is not designed to be used with any mains dimmer switch inc. LightwaveRF dimmers. FITTING INSTRUCTIONS: IMPORTANT: Before commencing work, switch off the power supply. Isolate the mains power supply or switch off the circuit breaker in the consumer unit. Install the CFR light bulb into lamp holder. Reconnect the mains supply then switch ON the light switch. The lamp will be at the brightest level. To turn OFF, switch OFF the light switch. NOTE: When first turned on the CFR will be at its brightest. If after setting a dim level the light is then switched off, the next time that the light is switched on the light level will automatically return to the previous setting. SETUP: Pairing with handheld Remote transmitters The CFR can pair with up to 6 different remote transmitters at any one time as it has a maximum of 6 memories. 1. Before any operation, the CFR must be turned ON to operate correctly 2. The light switch must be turned OFF/ON 4 times quickly (do not wait for the bulb to fully illuminate each time) ending lastly at the ON position; the lamp will start to slowly flash to illustrate it has entered learning mode. 3. On a LightwaveRF Remote press the ‘ON’ button to send the ‘ON’ command to the CFR. IMPORTANT: On the Mood Remote (included in pack) there is a slider labelled ABCD. Sliding between the letters allows you to pair CFRs/other LightwaveRF devices to separate channels (A,B,C or D). Which ever position the slider is in when you pair the remote to the CFR/other LightwaveRF device it will be paired to THAT channel. You can then turn your CFRs/devices on or off independently using the same set of on/off keys with the slider in the relevant position. You can also pair multiple devices to the SAME channel. Every device that you pair to the remote will become part of your mood selections (see ‘setting moods’) regardless of which channel it is paired to. 4. The bulb will quickly flash a number of times to confirm that the code is stored. NOTE: If during learning mode no signal is received the CFR will stop flashing after 20 seconds and exit learning mode. On NOTE: To operate the CFR bulb with a remote control, make sure the light switch is turned ON. If the light is switched OFF by a remote control, remember the wall switch remains at ON status; so next time switching ON with the wall switch remember to switch from OFF to ON. Un-pairing remotes and clearing the CFR memory Removing single device: 1. Before any operation, the light switch must be turned ON to operate correctly. 2. Switch the light switch OFF/ON 4 times quickly (do not wait for the bulb to fully illuminate each time) ending lastly at the ON position; the lamp will start to slow flash to illustrate it has entered learning mode. 3. On the remote press the ‘OFF’ button to send the OFF command to the CFR. 4. The bulbs will quickly flash a number of times to confirm single code is deleted. Off Clearing Memory (will remove all paired remotes): 1. 3. Switch the light switch OFF/ON another 4 times quickly (do not wait for the bulb to fully illuminate each time) ending last at ON position; lamp will quickly flash to confirm all memorized codes are deleted. NOTE: If the RF distance between the transmitter and receiver is too great to achieve reliable operation, the LightwaveRF Connect SIGNAL BOOSTER may be used in conjunction with this product to increase the signal strength over greater distances. OPERATION: Using the existing light Switch Switch ON/OFF by operating the light switch. Dimming: 1. Ensure the CFR is ON. Switch the light switch OFF and then ON quickly. Dimming will automatically start. 2. To stop at the desired dim level switch the light switch OFF then ON once. Using a LightwaveRF remote control Make sure that the wall switch is turned ON first. Switch ‘ON/OFF’ IMPORTANT: There is one set of ON/OFF buttons on the Mood Remote provided (as indicated on previous diagrams). However, by sliding the slider switch below the on-off buttons to position A,B,C or D, the on and off buttons can be treated as separate on-off buttons for 4 separate devices.
