TEQIP PHASEPHASE-II
q Detailed Project Report (DPR) was submitted to NPIU (National Project
Implementation Unit) through SPFU (State Project Facilitating Unit) under subcomponent 1.2 (Scaling-up of Post Graduate Education & Demand Driven
Research & Development & Innovation) in August, 2010.
q Faculty of Engineering & Technology of University has been selected for a grant of
Rs. 12.5 crores.
q Seven Engineering Department (BTE, CHE, CE, CSE, EE, ECE, ME) were allowed to
participate in the project under Faculty of Engineering & Technology.
q The Executive Council of the University is allowed to act as BoG for the Faculty of
Engineering & Technology for this project.
q The sanction of 1st installment (amounting Rs. 2.00 crores) is received in March,
2012. However, the money was received in Dec, 2012.
q The sanction of 2nd installment (amounting Rs. 2.00 crores) is received in March,
2014.

FACULTY & STAFF DEVELOPMENT
• One National Conference has been organized on 13-14 March, 2013.
• 7 Short Term Training Programmes have been Organized (3 more are in
pipeline).
• 5 Faculty Members have attended training at IIT Kanpur.
• 6 Faculty members have attended National Conference.
• 2 Faculty Members have undergone training from IIT, Delhi
• 3 Faculty members have attended Faculty Development Programme at
other Institutes.
• 9 Officers have attended Training at IIM, Indore another 4 are in pipeline
under Institutional Management Capacity Enhancement.
• 3 officers have attended training from NIFM on Financial Aspects under
Institutional Management Capacity Enhancement.
• 5 Officers have attended training on NBA at ESCI, Hyderabad.
• Vice-Chancellor & 3 Faculty Members have visited Research Labs &
Universities in Europe for R&D Interactions as part of Study &
Networking Tour under Institutional Management Capacity
