This 4-day training is focused towards the enhanced usage of features provided by the UNIFI Network solution. A complete
overview of all UNIFI Network administration tasks, the use of the qualification center and recommendations for maintenance
are covered. The training is balanced between recommendation and hands-on exercises to help you tuned and maintained your
system. It covers Oracle 12c database administration and routine maintenance, and addresses the needs of those who are
responsible for maintaining the UNIFI database.
UNIFI administrator will also learn the impact of using Mass Spectrometry detectors in the laboratory and consider the impact
on the amount of data to deal with plus the validation constraints.

If you are not familiar with the Oracle 12c recovery procedures, this session will provide different cases in the form of exercises
to train you on backup strategy to enable disaster recovery and then select the most appropriate scenario. To obtain the best
performance from your Oracle 12c database, it should be also carefully maintained and tuned.

The aim of this training session is to answer the type of questions that we typically receive from our customer base during the
implementation of Networks and help you to become more productive in your organization within the area of networked computing
built around the UNIFI Network.
Through experience, we have found that many of the Enterprise Networks installed are with users for whom networking within their
laboratory environment is a new way of operating. As these users do not always have an in-depth computer background, but would
like to benefit fully from having a networked installation, the result is that they have many unanswered questions.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS TRAINING SESSION?
This course has been designed for people:
n responsible for maintaining the UNIFI Network within their organization (IT specialists and/or Lab Administrator),
n familiar with the operating system of the PC or network administration in a Microsoft Windows environment,
n who would like to further explore beneficial configuration possibilities.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
To get the maximum benefit from these sessions, certain training skills, other than the usual UNIFI Network training that takes place
as part of the installation, are needed. For instance, some knowledge of the Windows Operating System is essential. Familiarity with
databases is recommended but not essential.

GENERAL INFORMATION
n The training session will take place at the Waters European Headquarters, located in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines near Paris, France.
The session will be conducted in English.
n Hotel accommodation can be booked on your behalf by Waters on the understanding that accounts are to be settled by the participant
directly with the hotel before departure. In the event that a participant fails to notify either the hotel or Waters in writing of any last
minute cancellation, then Waters will not be held responsible for any cancellation fees incurred. Further information will be sent to
you on receipt of your official registration for the training.
REGISTRATION FEE AND CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT
n A registration fee of 3.884 euros will be charged for the 4-day
UNIFI Network System Administration and Maintenance training session ( P/N 750000902).
n The fees include participation, training documentation and lunch for all days.
n Please note that only registrations accompanied by a purchase order number and received on the attached official registration form
will be accepted.
n Once your registration has been confirmed, your company will be invoiced by your local Waters subsidiary using the purchase order
provided at the time of registration.
CANCELLATION POLICY
n Enrollment is not guaranteed until receipt of the registration documents and confirmed method of payment
n Attendee substitutions may be made at any time upon notification of the coordinator.
n We reserve the right to cancel any course, 30 calendar days prior to the scheduled start date, due to insufficient enrollment.
n Waters will not be responsible for expenses incurred (for example, non-refundable airline reservations) if the course is cancelled
or moved 30 calendar days prior to the scheduled start date.
REFUND POLICY
n 100% refund for cancellations received 30+ business days prior to course date.
n 50% refund for cancellations received 5-30 business days prior to course date.
n No refund for cancellations received fewer than 5 business days prior to course date.
