INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUPS FIXTURE SERIES
AFTER INSTALLATION, DELIVER INSTRUCTION SHEET TO OWNER
WARNING:
READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE SERVICING THIS PRODUCT. IMPROPER
SERVICING MAY RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH OR SIGNIFICANT PROPERTY DAMAGE.
DISCONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER BEFORE SERVICING THIS PRODUCT. FAILURE TO
DISCONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER MAY RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH OR SIGNIFICANT
PROPERTY DAMAGE.
ALL SERVICE MUST BE PERFORMED BY A LICENSED TECHNICIAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL
APPLICABLE LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODES.
SECTION 1: FIXTURE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Disconnect power to main lines to feed new fixture. If this fixture is to replace an existing fixture,
disconnect power to existing fixture and remove existing fixture. Dispose of existing fixture and
components in accordance with all applicable codes and guidelines.
2. Remove new fixture from shipping container and inspect for damage. Notify manufacturer if any
damage is found.
3. Install fixture with supplied mounting hardware (if applicable) or other suitable hardware. Follow
all instructions included with hardware. Ensure fixture is stably and securely mounted. Failure to
securely mount fixture may result in serious injury or death.
4. To remove ballast cover, remove the three screws on one side of the wire guard. SEE FIGURE 1
5. Rotate the wire guard and remove the two screws holding the ballast cover.
6. Mount the fixture to the ceiling structure with suitable hardware.
7. Connect fixture power leads to corresponding main power lines utilizing UL approved hardware.
(Power lines to feed fixture are to be only UL approved wiring rated for 105°C temperature or
greater.)
8. Re-install the ballast cover using the removed hardware.
9. Clean any dirt and/or residue from reflectors (if applicable) and install new lamps. Use only
lamps specified on the ballast.
10. Re-install the wire guard using the removed hardware.
SECTION 2: END-TO-END APPLICATION
1. Remove the end cover on the fixture (A). SEE FIGURE 2.
2. Install the optional jointer bracket on one end of the fixture using the provided ¼” long screws,
three per side. NOTE: The joiner bracket can only be used if there are 12” min. space above the
fixture. If the fixture is mounted directly to the ceiling then the joiner bracket cannot be used.
3. Secure the fixture (A) to the mounting structure.
4. Connect wiring harness (optional) if available from fixture (A) to the next fixture (B).
5. Remove the end covers on fixture (B) and secure to fixture (A) using the joiner bracket.
6. Continue process until row is completed.
7. Re-install ballast cover if removed.
8. Clean any dirt and/or residue from reflectors (if applicable) and install new lamps. Use only
lamps specified on the ballast.
9. Re-install the wire guard if removed.
