Job Description: Electrician and Electrician Apprentice

C&V Portable Accommodations Ltd. is an Alberta based company specializing in the design and
manufacturing of re-locatable buildings. Since 1977, we have been supplying the Oil and Gas industry as
well as the Commercial and Industrial sectors with high quality structures.
ROLE
We are looking for talented individuals to be hired as electricians or electrician apprentices. As an
electrician or electrician apprentice, you would be expected to:











Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to plan wiring
layouts.
Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors.
Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
Install, replace and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as
switches, relays and circuit breaker panels.
Join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
Test completion of circuits using test equipment.
Install new refrigeration equipment
Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty
parts.
Connect electrical power to sound and visual communication equipment, signaling devices and
heating and cooling systems.
Perform work in a manner consistent with plant safety, housekeeping standards, and quality checks
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS





Must have transportation to get to/from work site
Overhead crane, fall protection and aerial workplace platform training an asset.
