FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS
INTENDED USE — An automatic standby AC power system for LED, incandescent and fluorescent
emergency lighting systems that provides full light output for 1-1/2 hours of operation.
CONSTRUCTION — Inverter: Solid-state, compact inverter module. Transfer interval from standby to
emergency mode is 50 milliseconds. 1500 to 16,700 VA output ratings available.
Cabinet: Free-standing NEMA Type 1.
Custom manufactured. 14 gauge steel cabinet with hinged lockable doors.
Modular design enables versatile installation.
Systems using standard lead calcium batteries that are 5.0 KVA and below are self-contained. Larger
systems (6.0 KVA and above) require external, stackable battery cabinets.
Cooling: Forced air during emergency mode.
IGBT/ PWM technology allows for universal compatibility.
Microprocessor controlled.
Sinusoidal output waveform has 3% maximum Total Harmonic Distortion at linear full load. System
efficiency is 95%.
Input: 120V or 277V input. Other voltages available on request. Synchronizing slew rate is 1 Hz per second
nominal. Harmonic distortion <10%.
Protection: Input circuit breaker standard.
65KAIC.
Output: 120V or 277V output. Other voltages available on request.
Fuse protected.
Output frequency is 60Hz and is ±0.05Hz during emergency mode.
Load power factor is 0.5 lag to 0.5 lead.
Conduit entry through 2” knockouts on top or left side.
Extended run times available.
Charger: Microprocessor controlled for various battery types and temperature compensating (recharge
per UL924 spec).
Overload capacity is 125% for five minutes. Low-voltage battery disconnect, short-circuit proof, currentlimiting, fused battery circuit, reverse polarity, brownout protection standard.
Self-Diagnostics: Programmable self-diagnostic testing for five minutes monthly and 90 minutes
annually.
Microprocessor controlled 2 x 20 character display with touch pad (4 x 4) controls, functions and data logging.
LCD meter panel displays input voltage, output voltage, battery voltage, battery current, output current,
output VA, temperature and inverter wattage.
Five LED indicators display utility present, battery power, battery charging, system ready and fault.
Standard RS232 diagnostic interface.
Alarm functions: One audible alarm will indicate high/low battery charger fault, near low battery, low

battery, load reduction fault, output overload, high/low AC input volts, high ambient temperature,
inverter fault, output fault, and optional circuit breaker trip.
Battery: Available with maintenance-free, sealed lead-calcium or lead-calcium batteries with 20-year
life.
Discharge cycle of 90 minutes at full load with fully charged batteries.
Standard 24-hour battery recharge.
LISTINGS — UL listed. Meets UL 924, NFPA 101, NFPA 70, NEC and OSHA.
WARRANTY — One-year full warranty within the 48 contiguous states on system electronics. Battery
warranty details listed on back. System must be installed within 180 days of battery shipment or warranty will be void. Two-year warranty on systems electronics available with purchase of FSP (factory
start-up program). Complete warranty terms located at
