They provide: b residual-current protection: RH86 and RH99 b residual-current protection and earth-leakage monitoring: RHU. The protection relays interrupt the supply of power to the monitored system in the event of a fault. They protect: b people against direct and indirect contact b equipment and property against fire. They are designed for AC installations implementing IT, TT and TN-S earthing arrangements and are suitable for voltages up to 1000 V and frequencies from 50/60 Hz up to 400 Hz. Vigirex RH86P For product details, contact our Distributor Network listed on the back page Continuous self-monitoring Vigirex relays continuously monitor the power supply, relay/toroid link and internal electronics. Failure of the detection circuit is signalled and may be used to trip the circuit breaker. The LEDs in front can also be used to check operation at any time. Eliminate unnecessary downtime Reduced tripping tolerances Vigirex relays trip between 0.8 and 1 x I n, thus increasing immunity to nuisance tripping by 60% compared to the residual-current protection requires of standard IEC 60947-2. Frequency filtering Frequency converters, such as variable-speed drives, generate high levels of high-frequency leakage currents. During normal operation, these leakage currents are not a danger to users. Frequency filtering by Vigirex residualcurrent relays ensures maximum protection against insulation faults and a particularly high level of continuity of service. Inverse-time tripping curve During circuit energisation, the inverse-time tripping curve makes it possible to avoid nuisance tripping of the residual-current protection system by false zero phase-sequence currents caused by: b high transient currents of certain loads (e.g. motors, LV/LV transformers, etc.) b the charging of capacitances between active conductors and earth. Rms measurements of earth-leakage currents The residual-current protection relay measures all types of signals and calculates the true rms value weighted to allow for frequency filtering. Test and reset To monitor the protection or indication system, the relay includes: b a complete test function with tripping of the protection device b a test without tripping is possible = Turn It On Power Meter 700 Series An entry level meter with mid-range functionality T he PowerLogic Power Meter 700 Series (PM700) is an inexpensive and compact 96 x 96 mm unit extending only 50mm behind the mounting surface, that offers all the basic measurement capabilities required to monitor an electrical installation. Comprehensive POWERLOGIC metering, that is layered within a facility, can provide real-time and event information to help diagnose and mitigate power problems. It can also help you improve power system reliability, reduce utility costs and increase equipment utilisation. Mains/ Feeders CM3000 series High-Speed Sampling and Zero Blind Time Metering Make All the Difference Most meters are capable of monitoring steady-state (continuous) power quality concerns such as voltage imbalance, under voltage or over voltage. However, other power quality categories such as higher order harmonics, voltage fluctuations and transient over voltage, require additional microprocessor resources to adequately represent the electric environmental condition. POWERLOGIC meets those requirements. PM800 series Branch Circuits PM700 series With a fully instrumented POWERLOGIC system, it's possible to achieve savings that result in an almost instantaneous return on your investment. Zero Blind Time Means Continuously Metering Every Cycle Metering techniques vary by manufacturer. Often, metering algorithms only take a snapshot every 60 cycles to perform algorithms. POWERLOGIC Power Meters and Circuit Monitors perform metering algorithms and alarm detection on every cycle for constant monitoring so you have accurate readings even for intermittent operations like welding loads. Required Speed is Power Quality Problem Dependent - IEEE 1159 Required sampling speed and alarm detection depends entirely upon the type of power quality problem you are trying to detect. The IEEE 1159 found in the PowerLogic Meter Selection Guide, classifies power quality related problems with sub-categories, descriptions and quantification, based on some combination of magnitude, duration and spectral content. PowerLogic meters meet the IEEE standards and help solve related power quality problems. Faster Sampling Provides the Full Story As more data points are collected, with a higher sampling rate, the anomaly can be more accurately depicted. If a meter is sampling too slowly, an incident could be missed altogether, or it could miss the actual magnitude of the event since it could occur between samples. PowerLogic circuit monitors use a sophisticated, high-speed sampling technique to simultaneously sample all current and voltage channels. From this sampling, the circuit monitor saves onboard waveform data. The CM4000T samples at 5 MHz per channel for up to 2 ms per transient capture, recording an astonishing 100,000 samples per cycle at 50 Hz. Similarly, the Series 4000 Circuit Monitor samples up to 512 samples per cycle, and the Series 3000 Circuit monitor and Power Meter from PowerLogic sample at 128 points per cycle. 06 Customer Story Harnessing Power, Control & Automation into Blokset iMCC @ a Cocoa Processing Plant A new generation in Intelligent Motor Control is born! eSys ® model U is an integrated D O L M o t o r S t a r t e r P r o t e c t o r, which exceeds the most stringent standards in motor control.
