Introducing CERAMIC LAB. −AUGUST/2015 Debut
Creations filled with artisanship of Japanese potters
KINTO launches the new collection "CERAMIC LAB." with the passion to deliver creations filled with the artisanship of Japanese
potters. This collection was developed in collaboration with potters in Hasami town in Nagasaki prefecture, where tradition of ceramic
and porcelain production dates back over 400 years. KINTO established the Hasami Product Center in 2000 and since then has
worked with local potters to develop many products.
For CERAMIC LAB., a member of our product development team lived in the town to engage deeply in the development process and
further strengthen ties with the local potters. We are proud to deliver a new collection of Japanese tableware spotlighting the skills,
creativity, and craftsmanship which are unique and have a rich tradition in Japan.
Brand message
Tableware is used daily in our lives. Although it may be overlooked,
behind each product there are careful thoughts, inherited skills and
knowledge of knowledge of controlling various factors such as the
proportion of clay and glaze, and the sensitive transformations that
depend on temperature and humidity.
Based on the techniques cultivated by the Japanese potters and their
studies on ceramic arts for centuries, we pursued detailed quality and
developed the collection CER AMIC L AB. It possesses both the sense
of roughness and delicacy in their shapes and forms. It is our passion
to deliver creations filled with the artisanship of the Japanese potters.

The series of mugs have a humble yet dignified
presence. The rough texture of the clay peeks out
at the bottom under the calm color glazing, and the
edges of the mug give a sharp impression reminiscent
of quarried stone. The handle is designed to fit your
