20 May 2016
Expected to be a very high profile Project, all primary and secondary member schools are invited to a planning meeting on Monday 20 June , 1.00-3.00pm at Ashmount School, to determine our approach to delivering this LEEP-funded project. Each of the 6 Leicestershire Teaching Schools, lead schools and the widest network of schools across the county will have the opportunity to collaborate and share knowledge of what works, as well as implement new initiatives to address the gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers —which we know to be a major issue across the East Midlands as well as for Leicestershire.
Including every child in the classroom and in all aspects of school life can be difficult, frustrating and disruptive. Abi Steady, an SEN, behaviour and autism specialist is leading this course on
27 May for all staff who want to understand more about common conditions such as ADHD,
Autism, Aspergers and Attachment Disorder: how to spot them and, most of all, extend the range of strategies in the kit bag that might provide the key to working positively with challenging children so that everyone ’s learning and enjoyment of school is maximised.
