Mounting Frame
Constructed of 22ga galvanized steel
for optimum rigidity. The frame includes
a ½" deep collar to provide a perfect fit
with the ceiling hole. Hanger bar tracks
provided on all sides to allow long-side
or short-side mounting.

medium base lamp configuration) to
accommodate the various types of
trims. Four screws attach the can to the
mounting frame and provide vertically
adjustable collar depth to accommodate
various ceiling thicknesses.

Listed for through branch circuit wiring.
Maximum eight no. 12 AWG 90°C
branch-circuit conductions (four in and
four out). Five ½" knockouts with true
pry-out slots and three knockouts with
Romex® cable clamp. Ground wire is
provided on J-Box.
Integral high power factor (HPF)
electronic ballast with 120 or 347 volt
input at 50/60 Hz operation and Class A
sound rated.
Housing Can
Constructed of 22ga painted steel to
prevent corrosion. The can houses

Integral thermal protector (RP1B thermo
coupler) attached to the junction box
to guard against misuse of insulation
around the fixture and overheating of
the fixture.
Description
The A6701 is an architectural grade 6"
aperture flat frame-in kit for ceramic
metal halide lamps. The A6701 is
designed for use in non-insulated
ceilings in pre-drywall commercial and
architectural construction. A wide choice
of trim types, including reflectors, lenses
and wall wash trims, is available for use
with the A6701.
