Kichler® Launches New LED Lamps
for Wet Location Applications
Line of 120V and 12V LED lamps are designed specifically for retrofitting open or enclosed fixtures used in outdoor or indoor wet locations
CLEVELAND – Feb. 4, 2014 – Kichler, a leader in LED luminaires, has introduced a new line of 120V and 12V LED lamps
designed specifically to address the unique needs of outdoor/wet location lighting installations. Leveraging their knowledge of
LED technology, Kichler’s new line of LED lamps are certified and listed for use in open or enclosed fixtures in indoor or outdoor
wet-rated environments. These PAR38, PAR30, PAR30 longneck and PAR20 lamps offer the same superior performance,
energy savings and durability that Kichler LEDs are known for. Plus, the wide selection of beam spread options and correlated
color temperature (CCT) choices mean landscape lighting professionals have the right lamp for use in either residential or
commercial lighting applications. When an integrated LED luminaire is not an option, these LED lamps are the ideal alternative.
“We understand that while an integrated LED system is preferable, it is not always possible,” said Kichler’s Product Manager
Scott Pesta. “If property managers or homeowners have recently installed luminaires with incandescent lamps, but are
looking for the benefits of LED lighting technology, our new line of LED lamps can give them the cost savings and energy
efficiency desired within their current lighting system.”
All Kichler wet-rated LED lamps are designed, tested and listed for use in outdoor wet environments and indoor wet locations,
whether open or enclosed fixtures are in place. These lamps are also available in 12V bases including MR16, PAR36, S8,
T5 and G4/T3 bi-pin – suitable for low-voltage accent, in-ground and path lights from Kichler and other brands – to ensure a
solution for nearly every lighting system.

Superior Performance
Kichler’s line of high-voltage LED lamps generate consistent light output with an operating range from 120V to 277V. The low
voltage options offer an operating range from 9V to 15V. All Kichler LED lamps are listed or certified by UL, ETL and/or CSA to
the appropriate ANSI/standard for both the U.S. and Canada. They are also tested for FCC compliance, assuring they won’t
interfere with other electronic devices.
Energy Savings
Kichler’s LED lamps help lower the total operating cost of existing systems by consuming less wattage than halogen or
incandescent lamps. Not only do they use less energy, but they also have a longer service life than traditional lamps,
meaning less maintenance and fewer replacement lamps. The lamps can pay for themselves in less than two years.
Durable Design
A 30,000-hour lifespan in an enclosed fixture (which meets the standard lumen maintenance target of L70) and unmatched
six-year warranty are proof of these lamps’ superior design. The electronics found inside Kichler’s LED lamps are weathercoated and epoxy-potted to assure superior durability and all-weather performance. The anodized black cast aluminum heat
sink also offers better thermal properties that allow the fixtures to run cooler.
