A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack. B) Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire. C) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire. D) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes,additionally seek medical help. WARNING! Before using battery charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings in this manual, on battery charger, battery, and product using battery to prevent misuse of the products and possible injury or damage. 1. Children and Infirm persons. This charger is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons unless they have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they can use the appliance safely. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the charger. 3. Do not use charger outdoors or expose to wet or damp conditions. Water entering charger will increase the risk of electric shock. 4. Use of an attachment not recommended or sold by the battery charger manufacturer may result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. If damaged, replace the charger. 11. Do not operate charger if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped, or otherwise damaged in any way. Take it to an authorized service centre to determine if the charger is in good working order. 12. Do not disassemble charger. Take it to an authorised service centre when service or repair is required. Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock or fire. 13. Unplug charger from outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning to reduce the risk of electric shock. 14. Disconnect charger from the power supply when not in use. ADDITIONAL PRECAUTIONS FOR CHARGER & BATTERY PACK WARNING! Only charge batteries designed for use with this charger. Charge only RG-18B Batteries with Charger RG-21C 1. Do not charge battery pack when temperature is below 0°C or above 45°C. 2. Do not attempt to use a step-up transformer, an engine generator or DC power receptacle. 3. Do not allow anything to cover or clog the charger vents. 4. Always protect the battery terminals when the battery pack is not being used. 5. Do not short the battery pack. 6. Do not touch the terminals with any conductive material. 7. Avoid storing battery cartridge in a container with other metal objects such as nails, coins, etc. 8. Do not expose battery pack to water or rain. WARNING! A battery short can cause a large current flow, overheating, possible burns and even a meltdown. 9. Do not store the tool and battery pack in locations where the temperature may reach or exceed 45°C . 10. Do not incinerate the Battery pack even if it is severely damaged or is completely worn out. The battery pack can explode in a fire. 11. Be careful not to drop, shake or strike battery. 12. Do not charge inside a box or container of any kind. The battery must be placed in a well ventilated area during charging. CHARGING NOTE: Newly purchased battery packs are not fully charged and must be charged before using in your cordless tool(s). 1 Slide the battery pack into the charger as shown below. 2 Connect the charger to the main supply and then note the LED indicators at the front of the charger LED 3 After normal usage, your battery pack should be fully charged in 1 hour. If the power pack is rundown completely, it may take up to 1 hour to become fully charged. NOTE: The Battery pack when new from the factory in an uncharged condition. Before attempting to use it. It must be charged for at least 1 hour. NOTE: The battery pack will reach optimum performance after being cycled 5 times during normal usage. There is no need to run the batteries down completely before recharging. Normal usage is the best method of discharging and recharging the power pack. OPERATION • Insert a charged battery in the battery holder under the handle. Slide it forward until it locks in position. • To start the blower squeeze the trigger. • To stop the Blower release the trigger. • Start the blower and hold the it with one hand as shown and sweep from side with the nozzle several inches above the ground.
