From policy studies to landuse plans to freight planning, we consider how uses and transportation modes interact, how technology can improve planning and operations, and how non-motorized modes can be more convenient and safe. We specialize in planning at all levels—neighborhood, municipal, rural and urban communities, and military installations—and incorporate smart growth strategies, such as walkable communities and transit oriented development. By delivering strategic geospatial solutions and applications, we help our clients make more informed decisions. Through our customized solutions, clients can plan, budget, manage Gannett Fleming is a recognized leader with more than 40 years of master planning experience. information, protect assets, and preserve resources, enabling them to meet their goals. The true power of GIS lies in the integration of diverse information technologies, data formats, and systems. We apply GIS to integrate separate and disparate data formats to offer enhanced visibility, analysis, and reporting capabilities. Our services include the design, development, and deployment of data repositories, GIS, and web-enabled information management systems. Master planning for the Army Heritage Center, U.S. Army War College, Carlisle, Pa. 3 SDDCTEA Enterprise Web Portal Our firm developed and continues to support IRRIS, an enterprise web portal for Surface Deployment and Distribution Command Transportation Engineering Agency (SDDCTEA) to route and track vehicles. The system integrates and displays worldwide infrastructure data, live-vehicle tracking, near-real-time weather, and active route conditions in a map format through a single, secure interface. It provides current data on roads, bridges, tunnels, road conditions, construction, and traffic incidents by drawing from over 400 data sets. IRRIS enterprise web portal 4 Transportation For more than 12 years, our firm has supported the Department of Defense, conducting transportation engineering, planning, and safety studies. In the past 15 years, Gannett Fleming has conducted 47 comprehensive transportation studies, 45 safety studies, 28 congestion studies and signal audit studies, and 32 sign management system studies for federal and military clients. “Thanks to your timely analysis, input, and support, HQ IMCOM [U.S. Army Installation Management Command] is now convinced of the need for the four-lane overpass at the Crow’s Foot Intersection … Your actions are typical of the continuously outstanding support provided by the SDDCTEA/Gannett Fleming team.” Comprehensive Transportation Studies In addition to security and safety, comprehensive transportation studies consider network efficiency and sustainability by evaluating strategic capacity enhancements, improving signal operations, providing intelligent transportation systems, and implementing demand management strategies. Comprehensive studies help develop the vision for future infrastructure and are an important aspect of master planning. Rick Orphan, Fort Carson Department of Public Works Pedestrian and mulitimodal study, Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C. 5 Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, Wash., Operational Audit for Traffic Signal Sustainability. Safety Studies Sign Management Studies Safety studies evaluate high-incident locations and the development of mitigation measures. Typically, these studies feature a safety audit of key roadways and aim to identify low-cost improvements resulting in a high benefit-tocost ratio. These studies take inventory of and analyze traffic control signing followed by developing installation-wide sign management systems that conform to FHWA’s requirement that agencies must implement a program to maintain minimum levels of retroreflectivity. A value-added benefit of a sign inventory is the identification of improper and missing signing. Congestion and Signal Audit Studies These studies review the safety and operations of intersections to promote safe and efficient traffic flow. Studies assess the impact of installation growth and include recommendations to improve traffic operations and often result in revised signal timings. 6 Facilities Since 1978, we have served the U.S. Army and Air National Guard, and have had IDIQs for architecture and engineering services for nearly 20 years.
