7600 Replacement
Upgrade for Fisherr 7600 Valve and Actuator
Description
Replacing a Fisher 7600 valve assembly can be
difficult. The 7600 is an obsolete product for
commercial applications and therefore duplicate
replacements for the original valve and actuator are
not available. Also, the current HPBV face−to−face
standards are generally different than the 7600 so
finding a valve that fits between the same flanges
can be problematic.
The built in features available in the Fisher
Control−Diskt valve platform can more readily
address this need with flexible length seal retainer
designs.
For special flange connections such as RTJ, or for
larger shaft classes, a one piece retainer−less body
without a seal can be provided. See figure 2.
The Control−Disk valve will provide the expanded
control range required when replacing either the
7600 Fishtailr or conventional disc constructions.
Upgrade of the entire valve and actuator package to
current designs will complete this performance
enhancing upgrade.
Customer Value
Upgrade to the entire valve and actuator package
without incurring additional costs for piping changes.
Replacing the obsolete 7600 CL150−300 NPS 2−12
valves with Control−Disk, 8580, or A81 valves will
reduce the maintenance costs of these valves and
enhance performance, both now and in the future.
Improved performance of the control valve will
favorably impact process loop variability.
Proposed Solution
Soft or metal seals can be specified for tight shutoff.
The Seal Retainer option for the Control−Disk, 8580,
or A81 valve will meet the 7600 face−to−face
dimensions.
Extend the upgrade to include the live−loaded
packing constructions by specifying ENVIRO−SEALr
and include FIELDVUEr digital valve controllers.
This upgrade solution includes the option to select a
flow ring, soft seal, or metal seal construction. This
option addresses the shaded area of table 1 and is
shown in detail in figure 1.

downtime with improved availability of spares and
repair services.

Flow Ring, Soft Seal, and Metal Seal Constructions
The A81, 8580, and Control−Disk valves can be supplied with these long face−to−face seal retainers (see
figure 1) to match the dimension of the existing 7600 valve (see shaded cells in table 1 for availability).

Retainer−less Design
With a one−piece body made from plate, this retainer−less design (see figure 2) can meet all of the 7600
face−to−face dimensions listed in table 1, as well as provide any special face−to−face dimensions or special
flange connections, i.e. RTJ or FF.
This design uses the same trim parts as an A81, 8580, or Control−Disk Valve.
