Dr. Fixit Back Fill Grout
Dr. Fixit Back Fill Grout is composed of high quality Portland cement, properly selected and graded aggregates,
polymers, and additives for non-shrinking purpose and flow. It is used for filling gap between vertical substrate
and heavy weight marbles or granite slabs because it has excellent flow, self compacting properties, strong
bonding between substrate and marble back, non shrink properties after drying and very high compressive
strength than conventional mortar mix.

Method of Application
1 S u r fac e P r e pa r at i o n
The surface must be free from loose particles, dust, dirt oil and greases.
}}
Clean the surface thoroughly with wire brush. Wipe out the dust by compressed air & water washing.
}}
Degrease the surface using degreasing solvents or thinner.
}}

Position the slab as per requirement & provide the mechanical key support.
}}
Fix the slab by using POP at four corners of the slab.
}}
Seal the three sides of the slab by using normal cementitious mortar.
}}
Allow mortar to cure for atleast 7 – 8 hours.

3 M I X IN G
For small quantity mixing [one bag] we recommend to use hand drill machine with attached paddle stirrer.
}}
To a clean plastic / metal vessel, charge 80% of mixing water [as per the given w/p ratio] start the mixer &
& add Dr. Fixit Back Fill Grout powder continuously, under slow stirring mixing at 200 –250 rpm then add
balance quantity of mixing water & mix to a homogeneous, lumps free flowing grout.

For a large quantity mix – we recommend to use pan mixer with same mixing method as above.

After mixing, wait for 5 minutes to mature the products.
}}
4 A P P LIC ATION
Pour the mixed material from the top of the slab till 1/4th gap is filled. Continue the same process for entire
filling of the gap with interval of 4-5 hrs.
}}
Allow to cure the grout atleast 24 hrs before fixing the slab above.
