low mounting heights.
• Modular design allows scores of fixture component

• Uses the same mounting hoods as all Mercmaster III
light fittings.
• Fixture housing and mounting hoods are copper-free cast
aluminium with baked epoxy finish. All exposed hardware
is stainless steel.
• Can accommodate a wide range of voltages.
• Ambient temperature -40°C to +55°C.
• 120 - 277Vac, 50/60Hz, 347 - 480Vac, 50/60Hz.
• Hinge has flip lip for added safety during installation
and servicing. Hinge and bolt construction assures 360
compression at all points on ballast housing gasket for
positive sealing. Swing away design of captive bolt and
nut simplifies servicing.
• All Mercmaster mounting hoods have provision for easy
field installation of fuses in fixtures.

• One-piece welded steel housing with integral frame to seal
out contaminants.
• Allows recessed mounting in permanent ceilings from 55
mm to 130 mm (2” to 5” approximately).
• Frameless tempered (safety) 5 mm (¼”) thick lens. Lens
secured to housing by internal metallic hinges and secured
with captive 316L stainless steel screws, allowing for easy
lamp replacement and fixture maintenance.
• Positive safety switch and new Ex e battery with plug-in
connector for safety and easy maintenance in hazardous
locations.
• Designed for ease of installation and maintenance.
• Bi-pin G13 lampholder.
• Also available as surface mounting version.
• New ballast:

Instant relighting with auxiliary halogen lamps, depending on
model (lamps not supplied).
Fast relighting for 70W and 150W sodium: 5 to 30 seconds
depending on the duration of the mains power supply failure.
Connection via terminal block (2 x 4 mm2 max.).
Superior corrosion-resistance: copper-free (less than 0.4 of 1%
copper) die-cast mounting hoods, ballast housing and guards have
a gray epoxy powder coat, electrostatically applied for complete
and uniform protection.
Wide choice of light sources: high pressure sodium, metal halide,
mercury vapour and incandescent.
Six mounting arrangements to suit any lighting layout - pendant,
ceiling, wall bracket, angled or straight stanchion and pendant
cone (for dust applications).
Hinge has high lip for added safety during installation and
servicing. Hinge and bolt construction assures 360° compression at
all points on ballast housing gasket for positive sealing. Swing away
design of captive bolt and nut simplifies servicing.
All fixtures designed to perform in a -40°C ambient temperature up
to +55°C.
Standard dome or 30° angle reflectors made of fibreglass
reinforced white polyester. Highly resistant to corrosive
atmospheres and vented to improve fixture cooling characteristics.
Fixture housing mounting hoods and guards are die-cast copperfree aluminium with epoxy powder coat finish.
All exposed hardware is stainless steel and captive. Stainless thread
inserts in the ballast bodies prevent ‘freezing’ of the screws that
affix guards and reflectors, simplifying removal for service.
One-piece ballast housing for each component provides even heat
dissipation for cooler operation and longer ballast life.
Fixture bodies are provided with two silicone rubber O-Ring style
gaskets that will stay flexible and assure even compression around
their circumference. They easily withstand high temperatures,
moisture, dirt and dust for worry free operation.

Thread Conversion Adaptor & Reducer
> PRODUCT SUMMARY
The CMP Type 737 range of Thread Conversion Adaptors &
Reducers is designed to provide flexibility and versatility in
the execution of construction works when there is a conflict
between the type or size of the cable gland thread and the
cable entry hole in the equipment.
These Thread Conversion Adaptors & Reducers are available
with Male to Female connection threads and can be supplied
with thread conversion between the forward and rear threads
to either an increased or reduced size or a different thread type,
e.g. Metric to NPT, or NPT or Metric.
CMP 737 Thread Conversion Adaptors & Reducers are available
in Brass, Aluminium Stainless Steel or Nylon and can be supplied
for both Industrial and Hazardous Area applications, with Ex “d”
& Ex “e” Component Approval (Nylon Version is Ex e only).
The CMP 737 Adaptor & Reducer range is also optionally
available with an integral “O” Ring seal when the male thread is
parallel.

is designed to convert an existing enclosure aperture to the
opposite male or female thread form. These Male to Male and

The 9465-ET 10/100Mbps Copper to Fibre Optic Media
Converter allows an Ethernet network to be extended over
a greater distance. A multi-mode fibre optic link may be
up to 2km in length when running at 100Mbps and due
to the use of 1300nm optics an extended distance of 5km
is achievable at 10Mbps. Longer distances are achievable
with single mode fibre.
Longer distances are obtained by simply connecting a
9466 (10/100Mbps Ethernet Switch) between two 9465
media converters, effectively giving a ‘repeater’ function
(This also provides 3x UTP ports available for local network
connectivity), this can be repeated as required. The use
of fibre optics gives exceptional immunity to noise and
electrical interference, it is also used when connecting a

The MTL661, MTL662, MTL663 and MTL665 digital
indicators enable process variables to be displayed locally
in hazardous and general purpose plant areas. A typical
example would be the re-transmission of mass/flow
computations from the safe area, through a suitable MTL
IS interface to the indicator in the hazardous area.
All units can indicate measured values in a linear or a
square root extraction mode; the latter being used,
for example, to display flow from differential pressure
measurement devices such as orifice plates, Dall tubes, or

The MTL646/647 Serial Text Displays are intrinsically safe
instruments that can display text and simple graphics in
a hazardous area. Having a number of push-buttons and
two solid-state switched outputs, they provide a low cost
operator interface ideal for simple machine and process
control applications. In addition to new installations, the
legacy protocol enables existing MTL643/644 display
systems to be easily upgraded.
Six push-buttons on the front panel of the MTL646
(four on the MTL647) may be used for operator
acknowledgments or controls. If larger industrial switches
are required, these may be connected to the text display
rear (MTL647–internal) terminals. When the remote
switches are activated, the front panel push-buttons are
disabled automatically.
Five different operational modes are selectable,
allowing the user to choose the appropriate level of
communications security for each application. These range
from immediate execution of a command with no message
acknowledgement, to a 16 bit CRC. The communications
speed, number of stop bits and polarity of the parity bit
can also be defined

Challenger PC Terminals are an optimum solution for
demanding tasks in on-site operation and visualization in

the safe area the Challenger transmission unit picks up
the data from a PC via VGA /Keyboard/PS2 Mouse and
transmits the data up to 600m/2000ft to the Challenger
Terminal on site – in hazardous area zone 1/2/22. High

Challenger Terminals can be configured in a modular

Designed as a Panel PC, the Exploer is based on a modular
concept - in line with our world-wide established Challenger
remote PC terminals. Whether for local display or operation of
software in Ex Zone 1/2/21/22, for client server applications,
such as a web terminal or for control of PLC, balances etc - the
Explorer Panel PC offers maximum adjustability to individual
requirements.
All operating and visualization components (display, touch
screen, trackball, joystick, keyboard...) can be configured
according to the requirements of the plant. Constructed as

For SCR (Silicon Control Rectifier) variable speed motor drive
applications, a transformer is needed to magnetically isolate
the incoming line from the motor drive. The transformer must
also provide a voltage change to match the required voltage
of the SCR Drive. Standard designs are delta primary and wye
secondary to match the common power sources required in
most three phase rectifier circuits.

available at hazware.com.au, basic registration and
advanced registration.
BASIC REGISTRATION
Basic registration will give you access to the main site, tools
section and selected documentation.
1. Start by clicking the ‘register’ button under the member
login area (A), located at top right section of our home
page. It will take you through to the registration page (B).
2. Fill in your details and click ‘register’ to submit. This is an
instant process requiring no wait time.
At the bottom of this page, there is a notice regarding a
more privileged account, the advanced registration.
ADVANCED REGISTRATION
Advanced registration will give you full access to the site,
especially if you are interested in purchasing through our

1. Simply download, complete and fax the form to Hazware.
2. Confirmation will be sent once we have received your

Through the Project Assistant System, you can easily
plan all your purchases, divide them into several
projects as well as extend the invitation to another
user to access selected projects.
PROJECT ASSISTANT SYSTEM
To access this feature, make sure to log in through the
second member login (J) at our storefront. The Project
Assistant System are located right beneath it and will only
be visible after a successful log in.
CREATING AND WORKING WITH PROJECTS
Organise all your purchases into different projects. New
projects can be created through your project (K) section.
1. Enter the name of your project and click ‘create project’.
2. Find the product and go into the product description
page. Scroll down to find the ‘add to project’ button.
Choose the intended project and add the item.
3. Click ‘view project’ to see all your projects listed.
INVITING A THIRD-PARTY
A third-party can be invited through project assistants
(L) to access selected projects and be involved from their
respective accounts while contributing to the same project.
1. Select the project, enter the username of the third-party.
2. Click ‘add new assistant’ to complete the process.
PROCEED WITH PROJECTS
When you are happy with the outcome in your project page
(M), simply click the ‘add all to cart’ button to proceed with

STEP 4: PROJECT QUOTING
Another feature that the Project Assistant System
provides is project quoting. Hazware can give you
an estimation on the cost of your projects.
QUOTE REQUEST
Please note that items needs to be added to projects before
you can apply for a quote.
1. Name and create a new project under your project (N)
section at the storefront.
2. Browse through our catalogue by going through the
categories or do a search.
3. When you have found the item that you are looking for,
go into the product page (O). Scroll down to find the ‘add
to project’ button. Choose the right project and add the
item.
4. Go to the project page by clicking ‘view project’ under
your project (N) section. You will see all your projects listed.
5. Select the project that you would like to request a quote
for and it will take you to that project’s page (P).
6. Include any queries or request you have in the comments
section.
7. When the project list is ready, click ‘request a quote’.
Please note once the quote request is placed, you will not
be able to edit the items in the project. We will review the
request and offer you a quote. The quote will be available
after the items are added to your shopping cart (Q).
If you are happy with the quote, proceed to ‘checkout’ to

To see items or projects that have been added to your
shopping cart (R), click on the tab above the storefront.
1. Update the product quantity or delete the product that
you do not wish to purchase. If you would like to browse for
other products, click ‘continue shopping’.
2. Proceed to ‘checkout’ when you are done.
SHIPPING ADDRESS
Make sure the address that is listed on the shipping and
payments page (S) is the address you want the goods to be
delivered to, especially if it is different to your billing adress.
1. If the address listed is incorrect, click ‘modify’. It will take
you back to your personal details page to update your

2. Check the box that says ‘ship to a different address’ and
