REJECT! Don't Inject! Heroin Awareness
The Entertainment
Technology Industry
Statistics, Simulation,
and the BIGGEST RED
MACHINE
Are you a gamer? Learn about how to turn your passion for gaming
into a career. See what skills and continuing education choices you
would need to become part of the exploding entertainment
technology industry.
Play ball! The students will learn about simulations (a big topic in
statistics and a common method in research) and how complex
systems can be simulated by breaking them down into smaller
component parts. We will actually simulate a baseball game using
dice; some kids will be rolling dice to generate hitting results, others
will be moving around the bases, with maybe someone doing play-byplay. We will then look at a website that does the same kind of sports
simulation via use of random number generators.
