Hydrel takes the inherently rugged well light to new levels
by incorporating technologies such as Cool Touch for lower
operating temperatures, Modular Design for versatility,
Acralume Lamp Modules with Aim-Set for relamping

Modular Design Makes the Difference
Foremost among the most significant advances for well lighting is
modular design. Water penetration ceases to be a problem when all
critical components – lamp, ballast, and connectors – are installed as
presealed watertight modules. Installation becomes at least 50% faster.
Maintenance is no longer a tricky problem. Modular design adds up to
time and money saved.
Acralume Lamp Module

Extended Depth: Hydrel offers extended depth
configurations for the 9330 and 9350 Series Well Light
luminaires. The extended depth permits lower lamp
module placement to reduce surface temperatures.

Acralume™ Lamp Module
Superior Performance: Sealed
AcralumeTM lamp modules achieve optical
performance second to none. Small
efficient lamps and precision reflectors
result in increased light control.
Advanced Sealing: Using state-of-theart underwater technology, convex lenses
are sealed with set resistant silicone gaskets
and a segmented compression ring. All
AcralumeTM modules are dry air purged and
sealed at the factory to prevent
condensation and water intrusion.
AimSet ™
Index and Aiming
The AimSetTM accessory allows relamping
of the fixture without reaiming.
A machined ring secured to the well
allows 360° rotation. The grill is indexed
to fit into a single position on the ring.
Aiming is accomplished by adjusting the
lamp module to the desired angle and
tightening two bolts and two screws.

Soils
The 9300 Series eliminates the normal
concerns for use of metal fixtures in alkaline
or acidic soils, in areas of heavy fertilizer use,
with reclaimed water, or in salt air
environments. The stainless steel fixture
housing is suspended, surrounded by air. The
polypropylene well tube is durable and resists
corrosion.

Pedestrian Traffic
Care should be taken in the selection
of lamps used in areas of high pedestrian
activity. Low wattage HID lamps are
excellent for these applications. In cases
where there is pedestrian traffic, the clear
polycarbonate cover is recommended.

growing from seedlings to mature plants requires raising a 9300 Series
well to accommodate several inches of new plant height.
