The learning programme is based on the unit standard: Conduct moderation of outcomes-based assessments. NQF level 6, credits 10, SAQA ID 115759.
The course outline

4. Conduct moderation of an assessment process.
5. Conduct a moderation of a candidate’s assessment
6. Use a moderation guide to write a moderator report to advise and develop assessors

Learners are provided learner with:
8. A learner guide/manual
9. A workbook.
10. A Moderation Guide.

The workbook is completed during the contact session and self learning. The content of the workbook addresses assessment criteria of the unit standard that must be met.
The CD is a Windows Explorer function. Once inserted in the CR Rom of the computer which has the typical look and feel of a website. It provides (by means of mouse clicks) information of the following:
1. A Moderation Guide with templates which enables the learners to spend 100% of their time on
“moderation issues” and not on development of “moderation forms”. The learner need not be computer literate to use the electronic Moderation Guide to its optimum.
2. The unit standard for future use.
3. The PowerPoint slides used during the contact training.
As soon as the candidate moderator is found competent and the assessment has been moderated and OBET Pro received endorsement from the ETDP SETA, a certificate of competence will be issued. The moderator must provide the ETDP SETA statement of competence and the OBET Pro certificate to the SETA/ETQA where they seek accreditation. The SETA will license the moderator to conduct moderation within in their field of expertise.
Course duration: 3 days.
Cost includes contact training and making of photo copies, e-mail and telephonic support, assessment, moderation and certification.
