PROOCEANO is a Brazilian oceanographic technology company
Established in 2004 in Rio de Janeiro;
Providing services mainly for offshore energy industry;
Revenue: 4.5M USD 2015 | 7.5M USD 2016 (projected)
Since 2012 belongs to CLS Group
CLS Shareholders:
CONTEXT
. 2005: Federal law stating 1% of gross revenue of highly
productive oil fields must be invested on R&D projects.
. 2007: Pre-salt layer discovery: huge oil reservoir (100
billion barrels estimated) with high quality oil.
. Project Azul was presented to BG Brasil in 2011 and
approved by BG and ANP in 2012.

Gliders and Model Results from MyOcean
MyOcean captures the presence of Cabo Frio Eddy, but misplaced by ˜70km.
Excellent for climatological studies (probabilistic oil spillmodel results).
Not so good for operational results.
