Dear Company Representative,
On behalf of the Hospitality & Tourism Management
(HTM) Department at the Isenberg School of Management,
University of Massachusetts Amherst, we cordially invite you
to attend the 42nd HTM Career Day on March 2, 2016. The
HTM Career Day is the largest student-run, non-profit event
on the East Coast. We strive to provide Infinite Pathways
to Your Future, whether you are seeking hourly associates,
interns, managers or new connections.
The HTM program at UMass Amherst is consistently ranked
as one of the best in the country. In 2014, BusinessWeek
ranked the Isenberg School of Management as a Top 50
program (36th) in the country, and Top 20 (14th) among
public universities. Additionally, BusinessWeek ranked
Isenberg in the Top 10% (11th) for Recruiter Satisfaction.
That being said, what really makes our students stand apart
from students at other universities is how satisfied recruiters, like you, are with Isenberg HTM students. The students
in the HTM department, as well as in the Isenberg School of
Management, are well prepared, enthusiastic, and have an
unrivaled work ethic. They are constantly striving to evolve
and enhance themselves as students, members of the
community, and future industry leaders.
The HTM Career Day is not only one of the most highly
anticipated events within the department, but for all of
Isenberg. Career Day provides multiple networking
opportunities including a complimentary breakfast, lunch,
Senior Reception, and rooms to hold information sessions
and interviews. Everything you need to know regarding
the 2016 HTM Career Day is enclosed in these materials.

(HTM) is one of the most prestigious and oldest educational hospitality
programs in the country. For over 40 years, the annual HTM Career Day
has been entirely organized, planned, and executed by a committee

and event management expertise through hands-on hospitality learning
experiences. As part of the Isenberg School of Management, the HTM
community consists of over 500 students, all of whom are eager and willing
to engage in a challenging curriculum.

booth exhibit during the career day, we offer complimentary use of our
facilities to conduct information sessions. These sessions offer you the

Senior Reception
Hosting an information session prior to Career Day is
a great way to educate students about your company
and promote employment opportunities that you
are currently offering. Information sessions provide
a personal environment and are ways to create
long-lasting professional relationships with students.
We encourage you to schedule information sessions prior to
Career Day, ensuring maximum student attendance.
Interviews:
Interview rooms will be available for the following day
on March 3rd. Interviews will be located on campus,
which offers convenience, and saves your company
time and money. We believe this is the best opportunity for you to connect with our aspiring students,
while providing exposure to your company’s available
positions. We welcome you to take advantage of our
facilities here at UMass.
Interview rooms are complimentary and can be requested during
your initial registration.

Senior Reception
A Sophisticated Social: Relax. Unwind. Connect.
The annual Senior Reception is the Hospitality & Tourism
Management Department’s premier networking event,
hosted to enhance interaction amongst our seniors,
recruiters, faculty, and alumni. Boasting a relaxed, yet
sophisticated environment, the Senior Reception is a
time where recruiters can come and get to know our
students on a personal level, and celebrate all of our
accomplishments.
Through this highly talked about social networking event,
we invite you to experience a truly hospitable night with
us. Indulge in unique hors d’oeuvres, specialty cocktails,
and irresistible desserts, specifically designed and crafted
for this event.
This elegant celebration allows us to not only highlight our
sponsors, alumni, and local partners, but also to showcase our
skilled student volunteers and future graduates - dedicating
their time to assist and cater to you.
Signifying the finale of our 42nd HTM Career Day, the Senior
Reception will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, shortly after
Career Day has finished just down stairs. Please plan to join us
in our state-of-the-art Marriott Center, located on the 11th floor
of the Campus Center, for an event you won’t want to miss.

Chase Career Center
Isenberg School of Management
The Chase Career Center, located in the Isenberg School of
Management, is the undergraduate and graduate office for
student professional development. Isenberg students build new
and innovative skills across eight critical disciplinary areas, setting
our students up for success in any business environment. The
Chase Career Center offers students a multitude of resources
through dynamic internships, professional networking, interview
skills enhancement, and an emphasis on personal branding.
