We were asked to convey to you our research results on whether your dog, identified
above, has two copies of the EPM2B gene expansion mutation and is therefore affected
with Lafora disease, has a single copy of the EPM2B gene expansion mutation and is
therefore a carrier of the mutation, or has no copy of the EPM2B expansion mutation
and is therefore neither a carrier of this mutation nor affected with Lafora disease due to
this mutation.
The above identified dog: EMEM CANDY SUNSHINE (TEST SB16)
Has no copy of the EPM2B expansion mutation and is Clear, therefore neither a carrier
of this mutation nor affected with Lafora disease due to this mutation. This means the
animal will not develop the disease, nor can it pass the disease on to any progeny.
