2.1 General description
Control CUE is a series of complete control cabinets with a builtin Grundfos CUE frequency converter and all necessary electrical
components.
Thanks to the startup guide in the frequency converter, you can
quickly set central parameters and put the frequency converter
into operation.
The frequency converter quickly adapts the pump speed to the
actual demand if it is connected to a sensor or an external control
signal.
Caution
Note
If the pump speed exceeds the rated speed, the
pump will be overloaded.
Do not use the Control CUE cabinet range in
connection with a Grundfos motor protection device
as MP 204.
The sub components in the control cabinet are only described in
these instructions when they are important for the operation of
the CUE frequency converter unit.

You can mount the cabinet either on a pole with a mounting
bracket or on a wall with screws. You can mount the cabinet
inside an outdoor rated cabinet as optional.

5. Applications
The CUE series and Grundfos standard pumps are a supplement
to the Grundfos E-pumps range with integrated frequency
converter.
A CUE solution offers the same E-pump functionality in these
cases:
•
In main voltages or power ranges which are not covered by
the E-pump range.
•
In applications where an integrated frequency converter is not
permissible.
The cabinet range as option also includes the Grundfos Fieldbus
connectivity platform via CIU boxes which enables remote control
and monitoring of the CUE installation.
The cabinet range is designed to operate a single pump with an
asynchronous electrical motor. The frequency converter itself is
designed to work with Grundfos pumps of any given type.
