We recommend following a few simple steps to improve the
results of your project:
Know Your Application: Note the typical fixture spacing and
mounting height, along with the type of task performed in the
space.
A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words: With the lamps
turned off, photograph the fixture exterior and interior with a
detailed image of the end of the fixture as well as the door
frame latch and hinge.
Add “Fixture Type” to the Lighting Survey: Clearing a
path for many of the more advanced kits often requires the
designer to differentiate between fixture types, even if they
fit the same generic description. The best way to identify
fixtures with generally similar characteristics is by noting the
shape and location of the fasteners used to secure the door,
louver or ballast cover.

Product Description
A.L.P.’s Kwik Change™ Universal Adapter bracket is the ultimate
solution for fast louver and lens replacement. It installs without
moving the existing fixture housing and creates a track for mating
louvers and lenses. Any need for custom cutting or measuring is
eliminated, so retrofitting doesn’t get much quicker. What is more,
there’s no disruption of ceiling tiles or earthquake wires.

The 5000 Series Kit is a complete reflector system, including
socket plates for lamp relocation, to provide maximum efficiency.
Used to delamp from 4-lamps to 2-lamps in fluorescent strip
fixtures. This retrofit system allows for removal and discarding
of the ballast cover, relocation of lamps, optimizing light output
and reducing energy consumption to comply with utility rebate

Application

LexaLite’s The Lindy® Model 424 refractor and prismatic top
feature a traditional turn-of-the-century shape and state-of-the-art
photometric performance. The 424 Series is available in IES Type III
and Type V distributions, and will classify as medium, non-cutoff or
semi-cutoff, depending upon lamp type and lamp center location.
The assembled refractor bottom and top are 15.9” in diameter,
23.16” high and are available in 8” or 9” diameter fitters for pole
heights 10’–20’. Both the refractor and prismatic top are available
in polycarbonate, for use in areas where breakage is a concern;
and HID acrylic and acrylic Moon Glow™ (diffuse acrylic), for high
efficiency in general lighting applications. Both components can be
produced in high heat acrylic and impact acrylics.
Application
LexaLite’s Model 424 refractor and Model 424 prismatic top are
for use in parks, along walkways, roadways or areas where a
distinctive nostalgic theme is prevalent.
Lamp Data
The Model 424 is capable of being used with 150W diffuse HPS or
175W coated MH vertical base down lamps and can be used with
up to 250W lamps. Luminaire design, reflector configuration, lamp
position and ambient temperature will affect the inside surface
temperature. Thermal tests should be conducted on each luminaire
design to confirm appropriate lamp size for the application.

The Little Lindy® refractor is the performance alternative to blow
molded acorn refractors. This two-piece unit is injection molded in
the finest lighting grade materials available today. The traditional
nostalgic acorn shape offers excellent uniformity and lighting
distribution. Available in Type V and Type III distributions. Options
include plastic clips for attachment of the top to the bottom
refractor, two variations of the LiteLid® to reduce uplight, a neck
ring to protect the fitter during installation, a stainless steel clamp
band for use with your own top and decorative finials. Available as
an assembly or non-assembled option.
Application
For new construction or replacement projects in downtown,
campus, park or residential areas, The Little Lindy is suitable for
poles 8’–14’ in height, with an 8” diameter fitter. For pole heights
of 10’–20’, please see The Lindy Series 424 and Series 425. If
light trespass and Dark Sky applications are an issue, The Little
Lindy is available with appropriate options to reduce uplight to
12.96% and increase downlight. Where yellowing materials are
a problem, the UV stabilized lighting grade acrylic offers longer
lasting performance that won’t yellow like typical blow molded
acorns.

The Little Lindy Model 408 is capable of being used with up to
100W MH or HPS lamps. Luminaire design, reflector configuration,
lamp position and ambient temperature will affect the inside

A comprehensive line of Emergency Fluorescent Power Packs
(EFPs) from A.L.P. Lighting Components allows fluorescent lighting
fixtures to be used for both normal and emergency operation.
In the event of a power failure, the EFPs switch the fixture to
emergency mode and operate one or two of its lamps for a
minimum of 90 minutes. Maximum battery recharge time is 24
hours.
Units contain a battery, charger, and inverter circuit in a single
package. They can be installed inside or on top of the fixture, as
well as remotely mounted. EFPs meet most state and local codes,
however consult individual product data sheets for other approvals
and listings.
Constructed of maintenance-free steel housings, units are
compatible with 1-, 2- and 3-lamp fixtures and accommodate
many ballast types including standard, rapid-start, slimline,

heat sink is offered either raw or powder coated white. There are

LexaLite offers custom machining of the heat sink to
accommodate your LED board mounting.

This prismatic lens provides exceptional LED hiding and an

The Linear Platform is an attractive, contemporary looking
multi-purpose fixture kit. It utilizes a cast aluminum housing that
accommodates two linear LED arrays along with the associated
drivers. It is a nominal 2-foot length. The injection molded lens
provides exceptional LED hiding, a low brightness surface and a
wide rectangular distribution.

The Platform casting is primarily
a functional industrial grade
component. Our pricing is based
on this expectation and as such we
expect minor non-fills in the cooling
fins. These are to be limited to
blemishes on the flat faces of the
fins not larger than 1/2” across. On
the edges of the fins, non-fills can
be up to .250” wide and .125” deep.
There may not be more than 5 such
non-fills per part. Through-holes are
not acceptable. If you require parts
for more cosmetic applications, we
will quote to your requirements.
Caution
Sharp edges may occur at several
locations on the part. We urge
customers to select the shot-blasted
option which reduces this hazard
and also to wear gloves when
handling.
