It was formed in early 2013 in collaboration with the Social Sciences students Union to promote students interest for South Asia and provide a platform for educational and cultural exchange between South Asian students in Lund and other international students. SASA was officially launched on 24 April 2013. Goals: – NETWORKING: We promote educational and cultural exchange between South Asian students and other international students. – RESEARCH SUPPORT: We promote educational and research opportunities available for students doing research on South Asia – INTEGRATION: We provide a support platform for South Asian students to integrate into student life in Lund. – AWARENESS RAISING: We work to enhance knowledge and understanding of the social, political and economic situation in South Asian countries and build student partnerships.
