The EGR Group is a privately-owned design, manufacturing
and marketing company that specialises in the Automotive,
Building and “point-of-purchase” Retail Display sectors.

In AUStrAlIA
The EGR Group commenced its Australian operations in 1973
producing point-of-purchase products and light plastic fabrication
products. The EGR Group entered the Automotive market in 1983 and
is now the world’s leading designer, manufacturer and international
marketer of thermoformed automotive accessories such as tonneaus,
canopies, hood/bonnet guards, headlight protectors and window visors.
EGR manufactures under a just-in-time production environment and is
certified to TS16949 international quality assurance standard.
The company’s global headquarters are located in Brisbane along
with six of its global manufacturing facilities, with other manufacturing
and warehousing facilities based on the eastern seaboard in
Melbourne and Sydney.
In 1999 EGR built its own plastic sheet extrusion facility which produces
leading edge flat and corrugated sheet products. The need for high
quality acrylic, polycarbonate, ABS and other sheet products is growing
as export markets expand globally.
EGR started manufacturing building products in 2001, and combined
with the Automotive and Display divisions, makes EGR the most diverse
manufacturing and marketing company in Australia.

EGR began operations in North America in 1993, and today EGR
Incorporated predominantly focuses on two main markets Automotive and Building Products.
Located in Ontario and Detroit, EGR is proud to manufacture over 80%
of its Automotive products in the USA, whilst the EGR Decorative Sheet
business in North America is rapidly expanding with key decor brands
such as Lustrolite, Zenolite and StyleLite.
EGR warehouses over 2,000 different SKUs within the Ontario factory
facility to service distributors in the USA, Canada, Mexico and parts of
South America. As the chosen supplier to almost every OEM in North
America and many other OEMs around the world, EGR prides itself on
producing the highest quality products to last a lifetime.

The latest addition to the EGR Building Products Division capability is
a world class, high speed, PUR (polyurethane) flat lamination facility.
The high performance reactive hot melt PUR bonding system is
capable of bonding almost any flat sheet or film materials together.

EGR can offer optical grade heavy gauge sheet to suit many architectural
and industrial applications including road barrier walls, balustrading,
internal and external cladding. With sheet thicknesses up to 25mm and
widths up to 2500mm in clear and tinted colours, EGR sheet is the right
choice for any project.
IMpAX
IMPAX™ is EGR’s superior polycarbonate sheet, available in General Purpose
and UV Protected versions. Offering superior outdoor serviceability,
IMPAX™ is also available in plain or textured surfaces. IMPAX™ has over 250
times the breaking strength of glass and is used where extreme conditions
call for a highly break resistant product. This includes vandal prone
signage, safety guards around dangerous equipment and machinery,
sight glasses, architectural glazing, display cases for high value objects,
correctional facility glazing and armoured vehicles.
tUFlItE™ pEtG
TUFLITE™ is EGR’s copolymer thermoplastic PETG sheet that has
exceptional clarity and fabrication capabilities. TUFLITE™ PETG is
ideally suited for manufacturing vacuum formed point of sale parts
and industrial guards. It has superior vacuum forming properties with
no pre-drying required prior to forming and is ideally suited for deep
draw applications.

AcrYplEX
Applications for ACRYPLEX™ are almost endless, however the material
is primarily used for indoor and outdoor signage, both vacuum formed
and flat. Other applications include: automotive accessories, skylights,
safety glazing, point of sale display items, marine windscreens, caravan
windows, road noise barriers, LCD display units and architectural glazing.
ABS
ABS has excellent forming, toughness and rigidity and is particularly
good for deep draw vacuum forming for products prone to impact
abuse in the form of knocks, scuffing and scratching. ABS has excellent
chemical resistance, however it has limited UV resistance. If the
application is external, EGR recommends capping ABS with PMMA, ASA
or other UV resistant resins.
pc/ABS
For superior thermoforming capabilities, impact resistance and overall
performance, PC/ABS is a stand out in today’s market. Developed
specifically for the demanding thermoforming market, this innovative
product is perfect for applications where traditional styrenic materials
are proven to be unsuitable. Features of PC/ABS include high heat
performance and ease of painting.
