Excellent for new construction or as a retrofit when converting to energy
efficient 12V LED lighting. Simply replace standard AC wall switch with
MLV dimmer, connect power supply to same AC circuit now controlled by
MLV dimmer switch, connect 12V DC LED lighting to low voltage output
on power supply.
Can be used with single-pole (one location) or 3-way (two locations)
Lutron and Leviton MLV dimmers. One dimmer can simultaneously
control multiple power supplies as long as the total load (wattage) of the
combined lighting does not exceed the dimmers rated capacity.
Line voltage 120V AC incandescent lighting can be mixed within the
same AC dimming circuit but the total load must not exceed the dimmer’s
capacity. Do not mix magnetic and electronic transformers on the same
dimming circuit.
