EV Enclosures
The “EV Enclosure” stands for Environmental Enclosure, and is
essentially an enclosure which secures, manages and controls its
own internal environment. .It is an access controlled server rack
which is self-contained with a secure environment hosting all of
the features which you would typically find in a well thought out
“computerroom”.
The ‘Environment’ of the enclosure’s interior is monitored, using
state-of-the-art technology and gear. The Enclosure is specifically
designed to accommodate internally mounted air-conditioning,
critical for the management and control of the enclosure’s Interior
environment.
TheEVenclosureismodularindesign,thusallowingforexpansion
tomeettheneedsoftheamountofhardgearandequipmentneeding
storageandprotection.Thisallowsasingle,double,tripleorquad
setofEVEnclosuregrouping,thusprovingacost-effectivesolution
designedtomeetdifferentrequirements.
TheEVEnclosureisahigh-securityenclosurepreventingunwanted
intrusion.The level of security can be selected, using bio-metrics,
including Retina Pattern Biometric Systems, Voice Patterns
BiometricsSystems,orFingerprintsBiometricsystems.
The EV Enclosure can be provided with an early-warning system,
byinstallingaremotemonitoringunit,whichmeasurestemperature,
humidity,dewpoint,airflow,andaudiblesounds(e.g.alarms).This
active monitoring, early detection and instant alerting system can
graphabnormalities,recordvideo,takepictures,andrecordsound
clips as soon as intrusion is detected. All this information can be

Load Shedding
Server Technology is the first to offer data center managers the ability to
automatically manage CDU power outlets based on key operating parameters,
including temperature, in-feed load, and UPS power status. Each outlet may be
controlled by one or more of these parameters. Should the temperature or load
current exceed defined thresholds or the UPS lose power and go onto battery, all or
a portion of the loads may be automatically shed to ensure longer operational life of
your critical devices. If one or more servers are being shed, a controlled shut down
may be accomplished via a remote shutdown agent.
An “auto-recovery” function ensures that all devices are brought back to a defined
state when conditions return to normal.
