ATS Description
Circuit breakers
ABB, Siemens or similar power interrupters IEC/EN 60947 AC1 listed
Optional Tripping units will convert the interrupters into protection capable circuit breakers. This is
a quite cost saving feature when the ATS is located close to the generator set. It performs then
the generator protection and the switch function, avoiding double cost.
Steel Electrical panels and bus bar systems.
Type-tested bus bar systems
The type-tested bus bar systems consist of standard components and cover a range up to 8750
amps. The systems are tested by KEMA and ASTA according to IEC/EN 60439-1 to a short circuit
level of 120 kA for 1 sec. and a peak withstand current of max. 264kA.
The bus bar sections are easily assembled in templates and fitted into
the panel. With specially developed assembly bolt, it is not necessary
to drill holes or cut threads. The assembly bolt allows for an adjustable
connection, exactly where it is needed on the bus bar holders. All bus
bar joints are designated as maintenance-free according to
DIN 43671.
The bus bar systems are easy to install in the panel assembly.
Standard inserts are available for all kinds of circuit breakers/switches
on the market.
Type-tested connections are ensured through the use of patented flexible
copper conductors, which easily adapt to the various components makes. All inserts are
constructed with much built-in functionality for rational workshop installation and thus increased
competitiveness.

therefore, selects good tested according to the market demand, such as earthquake test, shock
test and arcing test.
Type-tested steel panel systems
The steel panels modular system is based on a concept of standard
modules for the construction of electrical panels. It is possible to
construct an enclosure using a relatively few standard parts and
components.
The versatility of the modular system makes it easy and quick to
assemble and install electrical panels as well as to extend and/or
modify existing enclosures.
These panels are all tested and/or type approved by several of the
world’s most recognized test laboratories.
Furthermore, the panels are certified according to the norms in ISO
9001.

microprocessor-based controller to allow the utmost in application flexibility.
Further, the controller is offered in a wide array of configurations enabling it to meet the needs of

The standard ATS architecture is the vertical one described below.
This configuration allows front access and bottom cable entry for source incomers and load

Options
The IEC series ATS is offered with the below optional features.
Tripping unit
This option elegantly adds an electronic tripping device to one of
the air circuit breakers.
The tripping unit is the ABB electronic PR122 LSI type or
equivalent.
Using this option one can perform 50 and 51 ANSI protection
with the ATS.
One can add the protection to one or to both source sides of the ATS. If the unit is needed on both
sides, please add the option twice.
Please select the appropriate option of 3 or 4 poles.
Withdrawable breaker
This option converts a fixed circuit breaker in a withdrawable one. It adds a compatible drawer to
the cabinet.
Using this option one can easily perform
• service visits of the ATS
• Manual and visible lockout functions with the ATS.
One can add the protection to one or to both source sides of the ATS. If option is needed on both
sides, please add the option twice.
Please select the appropriate option of 3 or 4 poles.
Power monitor Display
Displays kW, kVAr, Amps, Volts phase-phase, phase-neutral and more.
Class 0.5s for measurement and metering according to IEC 62053-22.
The power monitor provides effective solutions for network monitoring,
installation sizing, energy management and electrical network quality
measurement.
One can add the device on one or on both source sides of the ATS. If both
side is needed please add the option twice.
Relay logic.
The relay logic is a classic relay type control of the ATS. It replaces the electronic controller
ATS380.
This option is useful in rare applications where electronic controller is not acceptable.
Generator Set Auxiliaries power feeders.
Provides feeder protection for jacket water heater, space heater and battery charger. 230V or
400V depending on configuration.
