How to use FlashAir

The Product can be used with devices which are compatible with SDHC memory cards. The wireless LAN functionality of the Product will run automatically. Please take the security steps before using described in ■ Initial Settings ■ at the end of this document as quickly as possible. ・Wireless Data transfer function Digital photos and other data can be transferred to PCs, smartphones and tablet PCs without any cable connection. Insert FlashAir into a device (e.g. digital still camera) which is compatible with SDHC memory cards. Turn on the device. © 2012 Toshiba Corporation 2 ④
⑤ Activate the wireless LAN feature of the device (e.g. smartphones, Tablet PCs, PCs) . Example of setting menu in smartphones: Settings ­> Network ­> Wi­Fi ⑥
Select the name of the wireless LAN network which you set during initial setting. ⑦

Open the browser of the device. ⑪
Enter the following address into the URL input field. http://flashair/ ⑩
Select the folder in which photos are stored. Usually it is DCIM. ⑫
Select the folder which you want to see. Confidential ⑬ Thumbnails will appear. Select a thumbnail, the photo will be displayed. You can save the photo into the device memory (e.g. smartphones). © 2012 Toshiba Corporation 4 ■ Tips ■

Insert FlashAir into a device (e.g. digital still camera) which is compatible with SDHC memory cards. Turn on the device. Within five (5) minutes after turning on the device, connect to the Product according to the following steps using a wireless LAN device (e.g. smartphones). Without any connection from a wireless LAN device within 5 minutes, wireless LAN functionality of the Product will automatically turn off. If wireless LAN functionality is turned off, please turn on the device again to start over. © 2012 Toshiba Corporation 6 ④

Activate the wireless LAN feature of the device (e.g. smartphones, Tablet PCs, PCs) . Example of setting menu in smartphones: Settings ­> Network ­> Wi­Fi ⑥
Select the name of the wireless LAN network. The default SSID is “flashair_xxxxxxxxxxxx” (x represents MAC address of the Product). ⑦ Enter the default security key “12345678” for the network. Confidential ⑧
Confirm that the device is connected to FlashAir. Open the browser of the device. © 2012 Toshiba Corporation 7 ⑨ ⑩ Enter the following address into the URL input field. http://flashair/ ⑪ The above screen will be displayed. Press the arrow and go to the next page. ⑫
When the above screen is displayed, enter a new network name in the SSID field and a new security key in the Password field. The security key should have eight (8) to sixty three (63) alphanumeric characters. ⑬ Press the arrow, and the confirmation message will be displayed. Click OK on the message. When you see the above message, this will complete your initial setup. ⑭
If you want to change the settings, click the icon below the screen. The screen shown on 11 will appear. ※ Only the smartphone which you used for the initial setup will be allowed to make changes the settings. Confidential © 2012 Toshiba Corporation 8
