OUR MOTO OF MEMBERSHIP ENGAGEMENT:
NCEL GETS YOU....STARTED / BETTER / CONNECTED!
IS TAKING HOLD, GROWING LIKE NEVER BEFORE
Engineering
Society
NCEL’s engagement efforts did not
stop there. Every Wednesday is now
known as NCEL email notification day.
This allows for a consistent, clear
presence in our members day-to-day
activities.
While the NCEL staff may be small,
we have a passion for growth. In
2015, we hired Eryka Pluff as our
Coordinator - Member Services.
With our industry growth, trends are
changing fast. To introduce young
professionals to our industry,
NCELpluggedIN social events have
provided the ultimate opportunity to
get young professionals better
connected.
We request your involvement to keep
member engagement momentum
going. By using word-of-mouth, we
can grow our association and our
industry as a whole.
Help us keep spreading the word, one
new member at a time.
NCEL Gets You…. Started / Better / Connected!
CHARITY & PHILANTHROPY
Since 1987, North Central Electrical League has contributed a grand total of
$1,317,830.00
NORTH CENTRAL
ELECTRICAL LEAGUE
This amount was dispersed to the following: scholarships, internships,
education grants, speaker charities, Golf Classic and Shoot Out
charities, and holiday charities. NCEL prides itself on giving back to our
members’ causes, and with your support, this amount grows regularly.
We couldn’t have done it without your member support!

initiatives to gain more new members -- through
word-of-mouth, recommendations and
testimonials, and face-to-face encounters.
With your help in 2016, NCEL could have greater
opportunities to get you Started / Better /
Connected! Join us in our efforts to increase our
membership by recommending someone to our
organization or one of our affiliate groups.

2015
The graph above shows how the
North Central Electrical League has
grown since our beginning. Starting
off in 1940 with only 10 corporate
members, we have grown to 281
companies, with room to move. We
take pride in these numbers but
would like to grow even more!
1999, NCEL has awarded $200,000
to 154 Interns. NCEL also awarded $30,000 to 20
students in scholarships. NCEL has awarded a grand
total of $429,000 in scholarships to 323 students.
These two popular programs are growing fast!
NCEL GETS YOU….
BETTER!
BETTER
NCEL provides training
opportunities for you to
better yourself and the industry.
Some of the popular topics in 2015 were: Basic
Electricity, LED Lighting & Control, Role of Ethics
for Engineers, Basic Generators, Updates on
Bonding, and Building Codes. Better topics are on
tap for Education Essentials training in 2016!
NCELPLUGGEDIN YOUNG PROFESSIONALS
In 2015, we invited young professionals in our electrical industry to monthly socials
for them to get better connected. Building relationships is k ey in any industry; by
having a fun and casual environment to network with peers, it allows people to
make connections with potential customers or co-workers in our industry. Check
our website for upcoming ways to attend PluggedIN socials or sponsor an event.
NCEL’S NEW SOCIAL MEDIA VENUES
Have you followed NCEL on social media? If not, check us out on
Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Flickr. We post all upcoming
events and activities on social media; along with a recap. This is
where you can find all photos from our events. We also host social
media contests that are exclusive to NCEL members. You can win
free prizes! Keeping you better connected with our industry via
social media buzz!
NCEL GETS YOU….
CONNECTED!
CONNECTED
NCEL hosts multiple events
throughout the year to get
you better connected. Some of
our more successful events are the Charity Golf
Classic and the Sporting Clay Charity Shoot Out. If
you missed them this year, watch for our weekly
email news for when you can sign up, or register
for any activity that helps you get connected on
