CentraQ Pro provides insight into your organization’s document
output activities. It collects print, copy, scan and fax usage data
from CentraQ-enabled KYOCERA MFPs and printers on the
network. Cost accounting capabilities provide administrators
with easy-to-follow reporting that details usage by department,
user and device. This enables potential savings to be identified
so realistic budgets can be set and managed. It can also assist in
the redeployment of under or over utilized devices — improving
transparency across the organization.
Document security is a growing concern for businesses of
every type and size. With CentraQ Pro, leaving documents
sitting unattended at the device is a thing of the past. Since
all jobs on your networked KYOCERA MFPs and printers can
only be released through authentication, secure printing,
copying, scanning and faxing will now become part of your
business’ everyday processes.

SECURE YET FLEXIBLE
JOB RELEASE
Once a job is sent to the server, it is held in
queue until released by the user for output.
Jobs can be released to any CentraQ-enabled
KYOCERA MFP or ECOSYS printer on the
network in a number of ways. This allows
the flexible document access users require,
while still ensuring a secure, controlled
output environment.
The application supports USB or Ethernetconnected card readers, allowing users to
quickly access secured jobs via supported
HID cards. On HyPAS-enabled models, print
jobs can also be released by entering a secure
PIN at the device’s control panel. A networkconnected mobile device such as a smartphone
or tablet equipped with a QR reader application
can be used to easily view and release secured
jobs on any supported KYOCERA MFP or printer.

A user may access the printer with the simplicity of an
HID card swipe if a card reader is installed and licensed
or with a QR reader and smartphone.

PAPER AND TONER SUPPLIES
Administrators can use knowledge gleaned from CentraQ Pro
usage reports to better understand areas where waste is a
concern and implement access control policies accordingly.
For example, permissions can be assigned by group to restrict
access to color printing, color copying, or even to device
capabilities such as faxing.
One way for a user to authenticate at the MFP is by typing in their Active Directory
Username and Password at the device control panel.
Because usage is tracked and authentication required to
release a job, users are likely to be more attentive to their output
(numbers of copies, color versus black/white output, etc.) when
they are submitting their jobs. Additionally, they are less likely
to leave jobs sitting on the printer, to be forgotten or discarded,
thus requiring reprinting.
