The ICS has a mandate to raise awareness, and promote any model or framework which will enhance the contribution of IT in the Irish marketplace and the IT-CMF is an excellent example of this. The IT Capability Maturity Framework (IT-CMF) was founded by the Innovation Value Institute, based on campus at NUI Maynooth. It is the product of over 60,000 person hours of research and study across a range of industries and geographies. Its objective is to define and measure the business value which an IT department brings to its organisation, across a comprehensive set of 33 critical processes.
