Instructions for the online registration of Individuals to the TAXISnet service
The registration application for new users of TAXISnet is submitted via the option "Application for
Registration / authorisation". Registration can be made throughout the year and there is no correlation
between the date of application to the TAXISnet service and the in time submission of the Income Tax
Return.
Taxpayers can register via the option "Application for Registration / authorisation" if they are registered
with the Inland Revenue Department (I.R.D.) and has received at least one notice of Income Tax
Assessment.
Taxpayers who do not have an Income Tax assessment must apply for registration with the form I.R.66A.
New Taxpayers who are not registered with the I.R.D. must first apply for registration by submitting form
I.R.163A to obtain a T.I.C.
For correct completion of the electronic application enter:

Taxpayers’ Identification Number (T.I.C.): length 9 digits with the last letter in capital and in Latin
character.

Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY): the date of birth must be the same as the date recorded in the
Names files of the department. If not the application will be rejected, e.g. 01/02/1983.

Reference number: length 12 digits number. If the reference number is not in the system, the
application will be rejected. The Reference number must start and finish with a number other
than zero, e.g. 120130000562, 420090022415.

Tax amount: Based on the assessment tax year and the assessment reference number you have
chosen insert the applicable amount. Between integer and decimal you must insert comma, do
not use a separator for thousands. If the tax amount is refundable insert a minus in front of the
amount, e.g. payable amount 120,59 and refundable amount -120,59
With the approval of your application a confirmation email will be sent with your registration codes.
If your application is rejected, an email will be sent to you containing the cause of rejection. In such case
you must submit a new application with the correct information.
