customize the look of metal parts.
PROCESS
• Powder coat base over steel substrate.
• Preprinted film is vacuumed formed
around part.
• Ink from film transfers onto the powder
coated base part during the heating
process.

WHAT FINISHES ARE AVAILABLE?
Special application that allows for permanent
customization.
True has 13 stock finishes and 3 marble premium finishes
available for production.
CAN DECO COATING BE APPLIED TO THE WHOLE UNIT?
Any metal parts can have a Deco Coating applied.
ARE SAMPLES OF THE STOCK FINISHES AVAILABLE?
Yes. Contact customer service for a sample.
ARE CUSTOM FINISHES AVAILABLE?
True’s has access to hundreds of finishes available that can
be special ordered. A sample of the custom finish would
need to be supplied by the customer for color match.
WHAT IF AN ACCOUNT WANTS TO DO A CUSTOM FINISH THAT
ISN’T AVAILABLE FROM TRUE’S FILM SUPPLIER? WHAT IS
NEEDED FROM THE ACCOUNT?
True would need a sample to match to or a professional
photo at 1:1 scale, no color shift, perfect lighting in a *.tiff
format at 100mb per image. True would provide samples for
customer approval. This would be considered as a custom
finish.

IS STOCK FINISH PRICING THE SAME AS CUSTOM FINISH
PRICING?
There will be separate cost structures for custom finishes
that includes set-up charges for custom Deco film.
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE LEAD-TIME TO BUILD A UNIT WITH THE
DECO FINISH?
Once the color is established and approved by the
customer, Deco Coating would typically add 2 weeks to
the standard equipment lead-time. Volume orders may
increase lead time.
IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY FOR UNITS WITH THE
DECO COATING PROCESS?
No, there is not a minimum order quantity required for this
process. There are volume discounts available for orders of
25 units or more. Set up fees may apply for custom finishes.

CAN A UNIT BE DESIGNED WITH CUSTOM DECALS ON THE ENDS
AND DECO COATED PARTS ON THE FRONT OF THE UNIT?
Yes, this is an application that could be very common and
reduce the overall cost of Deco to the customer. An example
would be a Custom branded decal on the sides of the unit
and header and Deco Coating on the grill, sign frame or
handle.
