It uses the GSM mobile communication to transmit an alarm signal and control the instruction. The control and communication between the user and the system are achieved through a short message services (SMS) protocol are available in the mobile phone. If the car door is unlawfully opened or the car is vibrated, an alarm signal will be activated and it send SMS message to the owner’s mobile phone immediately. The user will easily protect and control their car anywhere at any time and in any place. The proposed system consists of both hardware and software components. The hardware components include vibration sensors, a PIC microcontroller, a GSM modem, LCD and buzzer. The software part had a program controller interface. PIC MikroC programming language is nearly new for this control system. The control structure is based on the PIC16F877A microcontroller and AT COMMAND. key Terms- GSM Modem, Microcontroller, Vibration sensors, LCD, Buzzer. I. INTRODUCTION Nowadays, automobile thefts are increasing and also the production of vehicle also increasing in yearly world. So, vehicle theft is a universal problem .To solve this problem, most of the vehicle owners have started using the theft protection systems nowadays. A wireless vehicle security system which implements the mobile communication protocol is used. The most known existing car security system is car alarm and has a lot of drawbacks. • Distance- Cover Area, the warning cannot be heard over a long distance . • Same siren sound for most of the cars nowadays. • False Alarm . • Not 100% protection. ¾ Cannot be heard in the buildings or other areas. This type of security system is very less effective if the car is far away from the user as the alarm sound cannot be heard by the user. In such situations, this paper proposes a car security system using GSM technology. This GSM based vehicle security system is an advanced security system. When the car is vibrated, the system will produces an alarm signal and immediately send a SMS to car user mobile phone. The user could easily protect and control their car anywhere at any time at any place. The system is subdivided into three categories and it was designed using Mikro C language. Serial communication is used for data communication between the GSM modem and PIC16F877A microcontroller. In this system, first the vibration sensors sense the command (instruction) and produce an output signal and these output signal arrive at the PIC microcontroller. PIC acts as electric brain or message sending controller that control all of the functionality and interfaced circuit attach to this ISSN: 2348 ‐ 8549 www.internationaljournalssrg.org Page 5 National Conference on Research Advances in Communication, Computation, Electrical Science and Structures (NCRACCESS‐2015) system. It sends SMS message to the mobile phone through GSM modem immediately. GSM modem sends the signal (SMS) to the owners mobile phone when receive the signal from the PIC microcontroller. In this way, the users can protect vehicle from being stolen. II. PROPOSED SYSTEM The proposed system makes use of an embedded system based on GSM technology. When an unknown person tampers with a vehicle in which an antitheft system is settled up then the microcontroller commands(instruction) the GSM modem to send a message alert to the vehicle owner. In this system we interfaced PIC16F877A microcontroller with SIM-com 900 modem to decode the received message and do the required action. The protocol used for this communication between the two is AT command. The commands are standard AT. The PIC communicates with the modem and a further piece of equipment using sequential protocol. Pic Vibration sensor micro contr oller predefined message, the car owner can know that their car is in a danger condition and take an immediate action. The proposed system has the following compensation: ¾ low cost ¾ high performance ¾ high security ¾ easy to implement ¾ strong security control pattern. A. Vibration Sensor Piezoelectric sensor is used in this security system. It is generated by pressure on certain crystals which will develop a potential difference or voltage on the crystal face. When crystal oscillates, an AC voltage is formed. A piezoelectric sensor is modeled as a charge supply with a shunt capacitor and resistor, or as a voltage source with a series capacitor and resistor. GSM modem Buzzer LCD B. Microcontroller Block Diagram of the vehicle Security System using GSM technology It shows that the GSM modem is controlled by the microcontroller that sends signals to the GSM to receive and transmit messages .The system is divided into three sections and it was designed using MikroC language. Serial communication is used for data communication between GSM modem and PIC16F877A. In this system, if the car door is illegally opened or the car is vibrated, an alarm indication and SMS message will be sending. Out to the owner’s mobile phone immediately and automatically by means of GSM modem. When receiving a PIC16F877A microcontroller is used here to which are attached an LCD, Buzzer, Vibration sensors and GSM modem.A microcontroller (sometime abbreviated µC or MCU ) is a small computer on a single integrated circuit containing a processor core, memory, and programmable input/output segment. Program memory in the figure of NOR flash is also often integrated on chip, as well as a normally small amount of RAM. Microcontrollers are planned for embedded functions, in compare to the microprocessors used in personal computers or other general principal applications. LCD 1. A liquid-crystal display (LCD) is a flat panel display, electronic visual display, or video display that uses the light varying properties of liquid crystals. Liquid crystals do not release light openly. 2.A 4x20 LCD is used for displaying the message when the car is vibrated. LCDs are used in a wide range of applications including monitors, televisions, apparatus panels, aircraft cockpit displays. D. Buzzer It sounds when the vibration sensor detect the vibrate signal on the car. A buzzer is an audio signal device, which may be automatically, electromechanical, or piezoelectric. Typical uses of buzzers and beepers contain alarm devices, timers and verification of user input such as a mouse click. A GSM modem is a particularly intended type of modem that gets a subscriber identity module (SIM) card and works over a contribution to a mobile operator just like a mobile. The operational of GSM modem is based on commands, the commands always begin with AT (which means ATtention) and ends with a <CR> character. . In this scheme, Icom Sat v1.1 SIM900 GSM modem is used. The GSM module is converse the microcontroller with mobile phones via UART. F. GSM Technology 1. It is abbreviated for global system for mobile communication (GSM). 2.
