WINDOWS
1.Insert the Disney·Pixar Cars Mater-National DISC 1 into your
DVD-ROM drive.
If you would ever like to uninstall Disney·Pixar Cars Mater-National,
follow the instructions below for your type of operating system:
2.If you have autoplay enabled a screen will appear asking if you
want to install Disney·Pixar Cars Mater-National.
WINDOWS
3.Select YES and follow the on-screen instructions.
If AutoPlay is not enabled, select Start and then Run from the
Windows Taskbar. Type d:\setup (“d” refers to your DVD-ROM drive.
If your DVD-ROM drive is not “d”, type the appropriate letter). Follow
the instructions that appear on your screen.

MAIN MENU
GAME PROFILES
In order to save and/or track your progress through the game, you
will need to create or load a Game Profile. When you first start the
game, you are required to create a new Game Profile. After your first
play, you must either load a previously saved game or create a new
one each time you start the game.
Story Mode
Select the New Game option by pressing Enter. Once the full name
entry screen appears, use the arrow keys to enter your Profile name
and press Enter to confirm.
Play any of the Road
Races, Stadium Races,
Rustbucket Races,
Monster Truck Races,
Relay Races, or MiniGames you unlocked
during Story Mode.
After you finish an event, you may choose to save your game via a
prompt window. You may also manually save your game at any time
via the Pause Menu (Story Mode only) or the Profiles screen.

Arcade
Vs.
Play against a friend in any unlocked Road Races, Stadium Races,
Rustbucket Races, Monster Truck Races, or Mini-Games (selected
events only).
Options
Customise your game with the following options:
Game Options: Adjust game settings.
Sound Options: Set volume and configure in-game audio options.
Camera Options: Adjust in-game camera settings.
Control Settings (Players 1 and 2): View and choose your
favourite Control Configuration.
Records: See your high scores for all events.
Cheat Codes: Enter Cheat Codes to unlock time saving shortcuts.
Credits: Check out the pit crew who created this game.

Profiles: Manage saves data in the Profiles Menu.

THE STORY
Mater is hosting an International Racing Festival to celebrate the
building of Lightning McQueen’s new Practice Stadium and Racing
Headquarters – and you’re invited to join the fun! While exploring
Radiator Springs, Ornament Valley, and Tailfin Pass with all your
favourite Cars, select the Event Targets to compete in a series of
high-octane Road Races, Monster Truck Races, Relay Races, and
Mini-Games as you gear up for the main event... the Mater-National!

STADIUM RACES
Place in races and complete Mini-Games to
collect enough Bolt Banners to race in Lightning
McQueen’s new stadium against one of the
International Champions invited by Mater to take part
in the festival. Each Stadium Race victory will bring you one step
closer to an all-star showdown with the legendary Giovanni – and
a chance to win the Mater-National!

LEVELS
To advance the storyline, you must play the most-recently unlocked
level of any event. However, you can go back and replay any other
level you have already beaten by doing one of the following:
Drive to an Event Target and use the arrow keys to select the level
you wish to play.
—OR—
At the end of a level, you may replay that level or use the arrow
keys to select any other available level.
BONUS CONTENT
Win Bonus Points during Story Mode by:
• Collecting Bolts around Radiator Springs, Ornament Valley, and Tailfin Pass.
• Performing cool actions during Races like Big Air and Powerslide!
• Collecting New Paintjobs and Wheel Sets for
Lightning McQueen.

GAME SCREEN
➊ Race Position Icons: Shows the cars in the top three positions of the current race. If you are not in the top three, it shows the cars in first and second place, along with your position.
➋ Time Ahead/Time Behind First: If you are currently leading, it shows by how much time. If you aren’t, it shows the time you are behind the current first-place car.
➌ Lap Counter: Shows your current lap and the number of laps in the race.
➍ Speedometer: Shows your current speed.
➎Boost Meter: Shows how much boost you have. Complete
Stadium Races to increase your boost meter up to 3 bars –
yellow for the first, orange for the second, and red for the third.
➏ Last Lap Time: Briefly shows how fast you completed your most recent lap.

➊Event target: Drive to a Target and press Enter to select an
event.
➋ White Star: A new story point is available here.
➌ White Dot: A newly unlocked event is available here.
➍ Green Dot: A Race you have already beaten is available here.

➓Boost Meter: Shows your current amount of boost. Three stages
of boost are available in Story Mode. You start the game with
one and earn additional canisters when you beat each of the
first two Stadium Races.

MAP SCREEN
PAUSE MENU
Press ESC at any time during gameplay to pause the game and
access the Pause Menu.
Continue: Resume gameplay and get back in the race.
Retry: Restart your current event or use the arrow keys left/right
to switch to another available level of this event during Mini-Games,
Rustbucket Races, and Monster Truck Races.
During Story Mode, press Home when not in a Race or Mini-Game
to access the Map Screen. Select or transport to any previously
played event in Radiator Springs, Ornament Valley, or Tailfin Pass.
➊ Location: Shows the surrounding area currently being displayed.
➋ Event: Shows the currently highlighted event.
Options: Adjust game settings and difficulty level (you cannot adjust
the game difficulty level during an event, only while in Story Mode).
➌ Player Icon: Shows your current location in Radiator Springs, Player Stats: Displays points, Bolt Banners, Paint Jobs, Wheel Sets,
and Scavenger Hunt Items already collected while in Story Mode.
➍Unlocked Event: Coloured dots represent all unlocked and

Licence
Agreement
Your use of the file is evidence of your agreement to be bound by the terms
1.OWNERSHIP. The Software is and shall remain a proprietary product of THQ and its
suppliers. THQ and its suppliers shall retain ownership of all patents, copyrights,
trademarks, trade names, trade secrets and other proprietary rights relating to or
residing in the Software. Except as provided in Section 2, you shall have no right, title
or interest in or to the Software. The Software is licensed, not sold, to you for use only
under the terms of this Agreement. If you agree to be bound by all of the terms of this
Agreement, you will only own the media on which the Software has been provided and
not the Software itself.
2.GRANT OF LICENCE. THQ grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use one
copy of the Software in the country in which you acquired the Software for your own
personal use. All other rights are expressly reserved by THQ. You may not: (a) install the
Software on multiple computers, timeshare the Software, or make it available to multiple
persons, (b) reverse-engineer or decompile the Software, or (c) export the Software.
You may make one copy of the Software solely for purposes of having a backup
copy, provided that you reproduce on that copy all copyright notices and any other
confidentiality or proprietary legends that are on the original copy of the Software. You
understand that THQ or its suppliers may update the Software at any time and in doing
so incurs no obligation to furnish such updates to you pursuant to this Agreement.
3.LIMITED WARRANTY. THQ (UK) LIMITED warrants to the original purchaser of this THQ
(UK) LIMITED product that the medium on which the computer program is recorded is
free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from
the date of purchase. This THQ (UK) LIMITED software is sold “as is”, without express
or implied warranty of any kind resulting from use of this program. THQ (UK) LIMITED
agrees for a period of ninety (90) days to either repair or replace, at its option, free of
charge, any THQ (UK) LIMITED product, postage paid, with proof of purchase, at its
Customer Service centre. Replacement of this Game Disc, free of charge to the original
purchaser is the full extent of our liability. Please mail to THQ (UK) LIMITED, Ground
Floor; Block A, Dukes Court, Duke Street, Woking, Surrey, GU21 5BH. Please allow 28
days from dispatch for return of your Game Disc. This warranty is not applicable to
normal wear and tear. This warranty shall not be applicable and shall be void if the
defect in the THQ (UK) LIMITED product has arisen through abuse, unreasonable use,
mistreatment or neglect. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES
AND NO OTHER REPRESENTATIONS OR CLAIMS OF ANY NATURE SHALL BE BINDING
OR OBLIGATE THQ (UK) LIMITED. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF APPLICABILITY TO
THIS SOFTWARE PRODUCT, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY

PRODUCT. THIS IN NO WAY AFFECTS YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.This computer
program and its associated documentation and materials are protected by both National
and International copyright law. Storage in a retrieval system, reproduction, translation,
hiring, lending, broadcasting and public performances are prohibited without express
written permission of THQ (UK) LIMITED.
4.LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT SHALL THQ AGGREGATE LIABILITY IN
CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT AND THE SOFTWARE, REGARDLESS OF THE
FORM OF THE ACTION GIVING RISE TO SUCH LIABILITY (WHETHER IN CONTRACT,
TORT OR OTHERWISE), EXCEED THE LICENSE FEES RECEIVED BY THQ FOR THE
SOFTWARE. NO THQ SUPPLIER SHALL HAVE ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER UNDER
THIS AGREEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THQ OR THQ SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR
ANY INDIRECT, EXEMPLARY, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES
OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOST PROFITS), EVEN IF THQ OR
SUCH SUPPLIER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY
FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR
EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THQ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIMS
OF THIRD PARTIES RELATING TO THE SOFTWARE. THE LIMITED WARRANTY, LIMITED
REMEDIES AND LIMITED LIABILITY PROVISIONS CONTAINED IN THIS AGREEMENT
ARE FUNDAMENTAL PARTS OF THE sBASIS OF THQ BARGAIN HEREUNDER, AND
THQ WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE THE SOFTWARE TO YOU WITHOUT SUCH
LIMITATIONS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION
OF LIABILITY, SO THE ABOVE DISCLAIMER MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, IN WHICH CASE
THE DURATION OF ANY SUCH LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY IS LIMITED
TO NINETY (90) DAYS FROM THE DATE THE SOFTWARE IS RECEIVED BY YOU. THIS
WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. YOU MAY HAVE OTHER LEGAL
RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION.
5.TERMINATION. You may terminate this Agreement at any time. This Agreement
shall terminate automatically upon your breach of any term of this Agreement. Upon
termination, you shall destroy the Software and the backup copy, if any, you made
pursuant to the Agreement.
