Industrial Assessment Center, Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa: Performed energy audits on
various industrial facilities, including conceptualization of energy savings measures, data logging and
processing, energy analysis, economic analysis, and report writing. Recommendations that were
analyzed included lighting retrofits, HVAC modifications, process modifications, compressor controls,
waste heat recovery, building improvements and layout, demand limiting options, motor efficiency
improvements, and variable speed motor installations. Performed 7 audits on metal working facilities
including sand and die casting, aluminum extrusion, metal spinning, and metal stamping. Performed 10
audits for farm and construction equipment, air filtration systems, vehicle parts and accessories,
aerospace sensors, military products, and hydraulic hose manufacturers. Audits were also performed on
a glass tempering facility, a millworks, and a meat processing facility.
