Seller Guidelines Items for Sale We accept new and gently used, season appropriate items. The sale item minimum is 10 items or $20 total minimum value. The sale maximum is 150 appropriate items unless volunteering. (See Volunteer information on front page) Clothing must be in good condition and free from stains, holes, rips, tears, missing buttons, animal hair or odor (smoke, etc.). We do not accept items that we determine to be badly worn, offensive, inappropriate, frightening, outdated, or handmade items that would normally sell as a personal business. We also do not accept undergarments. See list of Season Appropriate Clothing on last page. We retain the right to reject anything we deem inappropriate. We accept: Boys sizes 0 - 20, including uniforms Girls sizes 0 through Jr (odd numbered sizes), including uniforms. No women’s sizes (even numbered sizes) will be accepted. Maternity clothing - maximum of 25 items Jeans and uniform pants are accepted in both sales Costumes are accepted at Fall/Winter Sale - please no scary costumes Dress Up Items Hanging Instructions: All clothing items should be hung as shown in diagram below with the hanger hook pointing to the left (picture a question mark) and the tag pinned to the right side with safety pins. (No straight pins accepted!) Complete outfits sell best - try to group items together as much as possible. All clothing (including skirts and pants) must be securely fastened with safety pins to the TOP of the hanger as shown in the diagram. Items should not fall off or slide to the bottom of the hanger when tugged gently. Items that slide to the bottom of the hanger are overlooked by buyers. For your best interest, please secure all clothing items to top of hanger so it will sell. We prefer wire hangers, however we will accept plastic hangers if items are securely fastened per guidelines above. Clip hangers for pants are not accepted. Infant onesies and gowns sell better when hung on hangers and placed in clothing section. Grouping several infant onesies together onto a single hanger also assists in sales. Shoes must be in good condition - we do not accept badly scuffed, worn or dirty shoes. A maximum of 20 pairs of shoes will be accepted. See Season Appropriate Clothing list on last page. Shoes can be packaged in several ways dependent on size: Smaller sizes can be placed inside a ZipLoc bag with the tag securely taped with packing tape to the outside of the bag. Larger shoes should be zip tied together. Packing tape can be placed over both sides of the tag for strength before attaching to the shoes. The tag can be attached by punching a hole for the zip tie or placed in a small Ziploc bag and push the zip tie through the bag. Taping the tag to the bottom of the shoe is not recommended. Toys, games, books, and puzzles - must include ALL pieces and be in working order. Battery-operated games and toys must have WORKING batteries. Loose pieces or accessories should be sealed in Ziploc bags and attached securely to the toy using clear packing tape. Print duplicate tags for items containing more than one piece to insure that all pieces are kept together during sale. Please check for toy recalls at this or other websites: www.parents.com/product-recalls/toys/. We accept gently used books for children and teens. The only adult books accepted are pregnancy and parenting related. Tags should be attached using clear packing tape on the back side. We do not accept stuffed animals unless they are battery operated, animated or educational. We do not accept any toy with monsters, toy weapons, or like items and retain the right to reject any toy we deem inappropriate. Electronics should include the following: DVDs (rated G and PG only) & music CDs - both must be in original casing & taped closed (No VHS tapes accepted) Video Games (rated E only) Leap Pads, Nintendo DS Games, etc. These games may be accepted without a case. Place loose games in Ziploc bag with the tag inside the bag and tape the bag shut. Consider grouping several games from same device into “grab bag” for better sale. Baby Equipment and Furniture such as strollers, bouncers, swings, walkers, Pack & Plays, high chairs, etc. are accepted if in good condition, without stains, odors, tears, and not under any recall. We do not accept cribs that were manufactured before June 28, 2011. We do not accept ANY car seats/booster seats, or bases. Be sure your items have not been recalled before entering into sale at www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls, Wemakeitsafer.com, and www.babycenter.com . Toddler beds and mattresses are accepted. Bumbo seats will only be accepted if seat belt attachment is included. Pack & Plays should be set up for better presentation; sellers will be asked to put together and set up at drop-off. Room Décor incudes items for baby and children’s rooms. We do not accept general houseware, adult themed items, or handmade items that would normally sell as a personal business. Items such as comforters, bumper pads, or large blankets may be hung and tag pinned on, or grouped together in clear plastic bag with tags securely attached with clear packing tape. Small Accessory items such as belts, socks, hair bows, tights, etc. should be placed in Ziploc bags with the tag inside and the bag taped shut. Children and Teen Purses, backpacks, hats, and miscellaneous items should have tag pinned securely to item. Preparation/Entry All inventory must be entered and printed by 11:59 on Monday, August 8. Clean, appropriate items should be sorted by size and gender before entering into system. (It is not required to rubber band sizes together.) This will make the tagging process much easier and faster! When entering items, please use a complete description of your item including brand, color, design, etc. The description line is long to accommodate LOTS of information. This benefits you in case the tag gets separated from an item - it is easier to match the item to its tag and sell it if there is a more complete description. List by number - not by small, medium, or large. Be sure to include the gender - boy, girl, or maternity. If an item is slim or husky, or has an adjustable waist, please note in the description. Remember to mark items as 1/2 price that you want reduced on Saturday. You may also choose to check a box to automatically donate an item at the end of the sale. If you plan to donate all your unsold items at the end of the sale, we suggest marking them to sell for 1/2 price on Saturday. You may at least make half the cost instead of none at all! Items must be priced in whole of half-dollar amounts with nothing less than $.50. When pricing items, please consider that this is a consignment sale, not a department store. A good rule of thumb is 1/3 of the new price if an item is in excellent condition, and 1/4 of the new price if it is in good condition. Tag Printing Use ONLY bar-coded tags that you create and print from the online system. Please print tags on white or light colored cardstock paper. The ink on tags must be readable for the scanners to work properly. Please insure that your tags do not print out faintly or are unreadable due to low ink in your printer. Check-out will run more smoothly and will insure that your sales are calculated properly. Also, when cutting tags be sure to cut where indicated. The barcode should be intact at the bottom of each tag. No handwriting on tags will be accepted. Drop-Off Items may be dropped off in the Fellowship Hall of Kennesaw First Baptist Church. This is the building that is on the far left if you are looking at the church from Main Street. Drop-off will be by appointment only - sign up for a time when you register. Please remember to allow for approximately 30 minutes when picking your drop-off time. Each item will be examined closely and inappropriate or unacceptable items will be given back to seller or donated. End of Sale/Pick-up No seller will be allowed to pick up before 4:30 on Saturday. Remember to pick up your items at the time that you chose for pick up when you registered. Any items not picked up by 6:00 on Saturday will be donated and you can add them to your tax-deductible donation amount. All items that are marked donated and/or left after 6:00 will be given to the Hope Center, SERV International, and various organizations chosen by Lil’ Blessings Consignment Team. A tax donation letter form is available for your convenience on our website. All checks will be mailed and should arrive within 2-3 weeks after sale.
