The position is available starting September 1st, 2015 and needs to be filled by no later than October 1st, 2015. The candidate will be working on research projects related to the design, fabrication and testing of plasmonically enhanced microelectromechanical devices and their integration into an ultra-low power digitizing sensor microsystem. www.ece.neu.edu The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in at least a few of: micro and nano electromechanical sensors and actuators; plasmonics; metamaterials; photonic devices; micro and nano fabrication; simulation and design; experimental device characterization. Knowledge of experimental optics/photonics and infrared systems is a plus. The researcher will interact with an interdisciplinary team.
