GENERAL:
Chennai Port Trust has proposes to carry out the work of rewinding, reconditioning,
testing and commissioning of 1 No 105 KW Slip ring induction Motor
following specifications.

SCOPE OF WORK :
1. Complete rewinding of stator of the motor by using super enameled Copper
Conductor as per the original one.
2. Replacement of Old bearing by new one at both the Drive End and Non Drive
End sides. (Make: SKF/FAG)
3. Re-soldering to be carried out at both sides End clips of Rotor.
4. Applying varnish, oven treatment assembling and dynamic balancing of the
Motor.
5.Complete painting, testing and commissioning of the motor.

GENERAL TERMS AND OTHER CONDITIONS :
1. The firm shall inspect the motor kept at the winding shop before quoting their
Offer.
2.The firm shall collect the Motor from the winding shop and to deliver after
completion of work at the Electric cranes(Area II) shop by their own conveyance.
3. The contractor shall arrange for the inspection at the firm’s site before despatch .
4. The rewinding Stator of the motor shall be carried out completely with super
enameled new copper conductor as per the original one.
5. The varnish used shall be Dr.Beck brand and paints used shall be any one of
the following reputed brand viz., Asian / Shalimar / Nerolac.
6 (a) Rocker arm (b) Brush holder (c) Copper mixed carbon brushes are to be
serviced.
7.The firm shall be responsible for any damage to the motor and its parts during
the work/transportation.
8. Genuine bearing of SKF / FAG shall be replaced both ends. Removed old
bearing shall be returned to the Trust.
9. The work shall be guaranteed for the period of 12 months.
10.The entire work shall be completed within 1 month from the date of receipt
of order.
11.The contractor shall replace all the damaged / defective metal hard wares
including Copper/brass studs, bolts and nuts by new.
