Amendments to Show `F` Regulations

SHOW REGULATION CHANGES MADE BY THE KENNEL CLUB
A number of amendments to the Show ‘F’ regulations have recently been approved by the
Kennel Club General Committee and will come into effect on 1st January 2015.
These changes are:
Not for Competition
Regulation F.1.c
Only dogs of six calendar months of age and over on the first day of the show are eligible for
exhibition at Kennel Club licensed shows. However societies may accept Not for
Competition entries at their discretion and dogs aged four calendar months and over are
eligible to enter Not for Competition at single breed and sub-group all Kennel Club licensed
Shows. Furthermore, dogs aged four calendar months and over are eligible to enter Match
Competitions.

Best Puppy
Regulation F(1)26
‘…Where the Best of Breed, Best of Group or Best in Show is a puppy it will also should
automatically be awarded Best Puppy in Breed, Best Puppy in Group or Best Puppy in
Show respectively.’

Schedule & catalogue contents - Addition of email address for Guarantors

Schedule
‘On the front outside cover or title page, the name of the Show Society, the type, venue and
date of the Show as described on the licence, and any additional title for which prior
permission has been given by the General Committee of the Kennel Club; the names and
addresses, or email addresses, of the Guarantors of the Show, and the Secretary’s name,
address and telephone number…’

Catalogue
‘On the front outside cover or title page, the name of the Show Society, the type, venue and
date of the Show as described on the Licence, and any additional title for which prior
permission has been given by the General Committee of the Kennel Club; the names and

Shows where classes are provided for exhibits other than dogs, where the names and
addresses need be printed only at the head of the dog section.’

Submission of Catalogues & Schedules
Regulation F(1)8.b.
Submission of Schedules
Two copies of the Schedules must be lodged with the Kennel Club when published; in the
case of Championship Shows this must be at least 3 calendar months before the date of the
show and for all other shows, at least one month before the date of the Show. A Copy of
the Schedule that is issued for each show, must be retained by the organisers for 12
months and must be forwarded to the Kennel Club if requested, together with any
other documents.

Submission of Catalogues
Championship – Within 14 days of the close of the show, a copy of the official Catalogue
for the show, containing a full and correct list of all the entries, with all the awards correctly
marked, must be submitted to the Kennel Club together with any other documents.
New Sub Paragraph F(1)12.d
Open and Limited – A copy of the official Catalogue for each show, containing a full
and correct list of all the entries with all the awards correctly marked must be retained
indefinitely by the show society and must be forwarded to the Kennel Club if
requested, together with any other documents.

Facilities
Regulation F(1)4.h(1),
An area or areas for the grooming of dogs and/or for cages and trolleys. The use of chalk,
powders or any other similar substances is prohibited within the precincts of a Show.
Delete Regulation F(1)4.h (3) and combine with Regulation F(1)4.h(1).

Change of terminology re ‘Representative Shows’
Regulation F(1)24.a.
‘If requested, Challenge Certificates for all breeds for which Challenge Certificates are
available will be granted to the four Representative Shows agreed designated all Breed
Shows; Crufts Dog Show, Birmingham Dog Show Society Ltd, Scottish Kennel Club (May)
and Welsh Kennel Club.’

BRACE
For two exhibits (either sex or mixed) or of one breed belonging to the same
exhibitor, each exhibit having been entered in some class other than Brace or Team.
