Examine the integrity of the blade assemblies once a year. Periodic cleaning of your new ceiling fan helps maintain the appearance over the years. Do not use water when cleaning your ceiling fan. It could damage the motor or wood blades and create the possibility of an electric shock. The housing is sealed with a lacquer to prevent any dcoloration or tarnishing. Therefore, only use a soft brush or lint free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. You may wish to occasionally apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood blades for added protection and to enhance their beauty. The fan motor has permanently lubricated ball bearings.
