Project Description:
This is a project under the Thailand - EU Cooperation Facility, the programme designed to strengthen
and diversify the relationship between the European Community and Thailand in a wide range of areas
to deepen the economic, political and cultural partnership between the EU and Thailand.
The overall objective is to provided to Thailand’ s sustainable economic and social development and its
integration to the world economy
The specific objective is to strengthen the competitiveness for selected industries (Fruit, Vegetables,
Food Packaging).
By the end of project implementation, the following estimated resulted are anticipated
 Up to 20 additional applications or requests for GlobalGAP, Organic, Fairtrade or other relevant
certification schemes are placed by target groups.
 The enhanced supply advantages (USP, cost) are demonstrated with at least three pilot companies from
Thailand and neighbouring countries.
 The international market presence of food exporters from Thailand and neighbouring countries is
demonstrated by the increased no of request from target groups to participate in related international
trade shows.
