Name____________________ Characterization Booklet Rubric Student's booklet should demonstrate knowledge of the ways authors develop characters in a story. Each page should have a quote or passage from the novel that illustrates and supports a particular character trait. Additionally, each page should have an illustration that represents the chosen passage. Cover page--should be a character sketch of the face of the main character. Student may trace or sketch the main character on posterboard, cut out the sketch, then add the pages below to complete the booklet. Title page--Title of book, author, your name, date Page One--Character's appearance Page Two--What the character says Page Three--What the character does Page Four--What other characters say about the character Page Five--How other characters act towards the character Page Six--What the author says directly about the character Page Seven--In one page, describe the character in detail, i.e., physical appearance, various character traits with evidence to support your opinion, and discuss if this character is a dynamic or static character and give evidence to support your opinion.
