Application
Cooper Wiring Devices offers Bridged Telephone Modules for its MediaSync™ Structured Wiring Enclosures. The modules
are enclosed in black metal housings (white for 5583) and bridge up to four telephone lines from demarcation point
through to 6, 10 or 16 outlet locations, thus allowing operation of up to 6, 10, or 16 separate telephones per line (phone,
fax or modem applications). For additional outlet locations, all telephone modules offer expansion jacks for daisy-chaining
to extra telephone modules.

Fits easily into any MediaSync Structured Wiring Enclosure.
5583 offers built-in surge protection with LED indicators
for 4 lines with expansion jack or 110 punchdown.
CSH6T provides 4 lines to 6 locations for voice with RJ31X
and expansion jack.
CSH10T provides 4 lines to 10 locations for voice with
RJ31X and expansion jack.
CSH16RT provides 4 lines to 16 locations using RJ45
jacks for plug and play flexibility, one RJ31X jack and
one test expansion jack (can be used as expansion jack).
CSH16RT bridges “Line 1” service to 12 locations,
“Line 2” service to 2 locations, “Line 3” and “Line 4”
to one location each.
Use expansion jacks to connect one telephone module
to the next to expand number of locations for voice
applications.
RJ31X jack allows for connection to security panel
for dial-out access on line 1 (primary) when alarm
is triggered.

The Bridged Telephone Modules shall meet all applicable
standards: cETLus Listed for UL 1863, TIA/EIA-568A and
TIA/EIA-568B compliant. The 5583 surge modules will
include one “incoming” punchdown block (110-Type
IDC), system test port-line disconnect, one RJ31X jack,
and one expansion jack and 110-Type IDC. The CHS6T
and CSH10T modules will include one “incoming”
punchdown block (110-Type IDC), 6 or 10 outputs
(110-Type IDC), one RJ31X jack, and one expansion
jack. The CSH16RT modules will include one “incoming”
punchdown block (110-Type IDC), 16 outputs (RJ45
jacks), one RJ31X jack and one test/expansion jack.
All telephone modules will be made on a printed circuit
board design enclosed in a metal housing with pushpins
for mounting purposes. The manufacturer shall provide
a 10-year limited product warranty. Product &
performance warranties are extended to 20 years
if installed as part of a MediaSync Certified Installer™
Program.
