The cave-effect shown above is due to the quantity of cells in the louver, a louver
with a large number of cells will direct the light straight down onto the subject.
While a large quantity of cell louvers directs light downward, a smaller quantity of
louvers, such in as the 12 cell above, spreads the light in all directions, eliminating
the cave-effect, and creating a more amplified atmosphere.
Green Friendly:
The PC Parabolic has a reduced carbon footprint compared to other troffers. The
4-3/4” body design reduces metal, paint, packaging, and shipping. Additionally,
both T5 & T8 options are available to increase light output while decreasing power
consumptions.

DESIGN FEATURES
1. Body Depth - The overall depth of the fixture has
been reduced by 1" for a total of depth of only 4-3/4"
2. Galvanized Steel - Both the main body and all its
metal components are fabricated from U.S. made hot
dipped galvanized steel

components are post fabrication powder coated (PAF)

5. 100% Tested - Every fixture produced at Tamlite
Lay-Ins is fully tested prior to shipping (fixtures sold
without lamps are also fully tested with lamps)

protect from injury during installation

8. Oversized Access Opening - The access opening
for the wiring connection has an oversized opening

The PC Series is finished with “Tamlite White” thermoset powder coating. The powder
coating is performed post fabrication and is applied electrostatically which provides
additional protection for the galvanized steel as well as better protection while handling

LOUVERS:
Our anodized aluminum louvers are engineered to be of the
finest quality and offer a wide range of available sizes. The
open grid design, making this an ideal medium, combining
light control, and aesthetics.
Anodized aluminum louvers are a non-flammable, open grid
material and are acceptable for installation in applications
governed by the most stringent fire codes. Check with your
local building code authority for final acceptance criteria.

Hot dipped galvanized steel uni-body construction with built-in tabs for structural integrity.
Specific body design for each lamp configuration limiting holes for a streamlined design.
Oversized access plate for ease of installation. PAF for consistent finish, safe handling,
and corrosion resistance on both body and frame. White powder coat provides a high
reflectance factor. NEMA type G (Grid) standard. NEMA type F (Flange) available for
field installation. All lamps may be installed or removed in any order. All fixtures are
100% tested at the factory.

Aluminum Louver - Aluminum louvers are light, easy to maintain and install,
the material allows the louvers to be smudge resistant, to keep a clean look at
all times.
Frame - Its outside housing is rigid and resistant to corrosion, making it durable
and long-lasting.
Light Distribution - The rounded louver design avoids harsh shadow lines
on walls, by slowly revealing the lamp as a point rather than a linear source.
Diffused along the material that the louver is made from, the light is spread in the
55º zone causing less strain on the eyes.
Frame Finish - All corners of fixture are softened for easy handling during
installation.
Paint Finish - Reflective gloss-finish on housing increases efficiency and
reduces high angle brightness.
Glare - High ceilings in big spaces are often illuminated with high brightness
fixtures. Excessive brightness makes working and shopping a challenge.
Uniformity - Improper light distribution creates a lot of work for the eye,
causing strained, tired eyes
Vertical brightness - People assess the brightness of spaces through the
amount of light on ceilings and walls. Dark vertical surfaces make big spaces
seem like uninviting caves.
Maintenance Costs - Due to the high efficiency T5 & T8 lamps, and anodized
aluminum louvers, the cost of maintenance of this fixtures is figuratively low.
