Opportunities for High Tech Manufacturing
Supply Chains
To be successful in today’s rapid-fire, consumer-driven marketplace, High Tech
manufacturers must be able to understand their customer segments, quickly respond
to increasing volatility and manage multiple channels. Addressing these challenges
in tailored, meaningful ways requires moving away from a one-size-fits-all approach to
planning. This requires segmenting consumers, markets, and products and aligning to
execute the right supply chain approach against the right segment. To stay profitable,
global and consumer focused, manufacturers need to be able to intelligently respond with
optimized answers to their supply chain challenges. This presentation will cover opportunities to develop more responsive and synchronized
supply chains, review these challenges in detail, with real-life examples demonstrating
successful deployment of these concepts.

Delivering Rapid Value from Supply Chain Projects
Headquartered in Norwood, Massachusetts, Analog Devices, Inc. is a world leader in the
design, manufacture, and marketing of a broad portfolio of high performance analog,
mixed-signal, and digital signal processing integrated circuits used in virtually all types
of electronic equipment. An experienced user of advanced planning and scheduling
systems for many years, Analog Devices embarked on an ambitious upgrade of its core
master planning process that guides production decisions across its global network of
asset-intensive manufacturing facilities. With a demanding and globally distributed
end-user community on the one hand and a compressed timeline for solution
deployment on the other, the challenge was to deliver significant business value
without creating any change-related disruptions. Over the course of this presentation,
Padraic Charlton, Supply Chain Planning Manager at Analog Devices will describe a new
paradigm for supply chain solution deployment that has led to significant success and
faster time-to-value at Analog Devices. This paradigm is now being adopted for other
supply chain related engagements at Analog Devices. Padraic will also share insights and
lessons learned along the way and offer practical recommendations that the audience
can benefit from as well.
