What is NCEA?
National Certificate of Educational Achievement

Students can study entirely at one level

How is NCEA achieved?
What’s involved?
• Completion of assessments (a test, activity, project, brief or assignment)
throughout the year (Internal)
• End of year examinations (External)
• Rewards Excellence
• Flexible learning – students can learn at their own pace
Fees –
Paid to LBC by mid Aug or on NZQA students login before 1 December, after
that date a $50 late fee will apply.
Domestic students - $76.70
International students - $383.30.

RECOGNITION OF NCEA OVERSEAS
Recognised in other countries as NZ’s national schoolleaver qualification
Overseas universities usually require international
students to gain UE in their home country
