All participants are encouraged to bring their Laptop PCs. PSpice (Evaluation
version) and Simulink (full version with limited-time license) will be loaded into
the participants’ PCs to follow along during the tutorials.
These tutorials will be totally free-of-charge to the Workshop Participants.

A Call for Papers for the Poster Session
As a workshop participant, you are invited to present a poster paper at this workshop in
which a session has been organized.
You are welcome to choose any topic that will enhance the discussion and benefit other
attendees at this workshop. Some example topics are listed below:

Format and Deadline:
The deadline for submission (electronic only, in pdf, not to exceed 5 MB) is December 5,
2002. The format can be traditional text version or PowerPoint based. Please send it to

This workshop is sponsored by NSF. Four nights of free lodging at a nearby hotel will be provided on a
first-come basis to a limited number of U.S. faculty (tenured, tenure-track or adjunct faculty interested in
these fields who are teaching at a university in the United States) and PhD candidates at U.S. universities
interested in pursuing an academic career. The exact number that we will be able to support will depend on
the extent of our funding from NSF and other possible external sources.
